It does, thanks for always making such quality content, these in depth analysis about the gta franchise are great, if you're looking to diversify your content, i recommend that you play the Yakuza series if you haven't, i feel like you could make a lot of content with it, from gameplays to analysis like this one, while it's even more over the top and unrealistic than the GTA series, the story of most of the games in the franchise are easily among the best in gaming.

Dimitri could have said that Kenny was his cousins boyfriend instead of Petrovic’s son to not enrage Faustin, because saying that he should not kill Petrovics son because Patrovic is so much more powerful would certain get on Fautsins ego. Clearly he doesn’t want to acknowledge the fact that Petrovic is more powerful than him. Saying that Lenny is petrovics son will only have the opposite effect; Faustin would 100% want Lenny killed to show that he isn’t afraid of Petrovic and there is not much Petrovic could do to him for killing his son.

This is without a doubt the most powerful and important video and lore video you’ve ever made - this (lore) video was very much needed and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making it. Kenny Petrovic is, for me, regardless of whether we see him or not, the most important and arguably powerful character in the whole GTA series. He is, as you said, the most important unseen character in the GTA series. Rockstar Games has done such a powerful job of making him so important that whenever his name is mentioned, we, the players, automatically shudder. His name, Kenny Petrovic, is scary. I will never forget the way Dimitri tells Niko what he has done in murdering his son - the fact that Dimitri was acting in doing so is not the point, I am referring to the way he tells Niko that he has done something very serious and dangerous. The tone he takes when telling Niko “Niko, do you know what you have done?” is powerful, chilling, and serious. And when he goes on to say “The boy you killed was the son of Kenny Petrovic. This is a very dangerous man. He will not take kindly this. […] I will speak to people and see what I can do.”, we understand that we’ve done something very, very dangerous and serious. This video was very much needed - so thank you, again, so much for doing it. Also, another point I would like to point out : it is indeed important to keep in mind that the Vice City we will have in the next GTA is not the same Vice City as in the 3D universe. And this system is valid for all other cities in the GTA games and other Rockstar games mentioned in the GTA games (the only exception being L.A. Noire, which I highly doubt would take plage in the same universe as the HD GTA games). A perfect and important example : Carcer City, from the Manhunt games, is not the same Carcer City mentioned in the 3D GTA games, and the Carcer City from the 3D GTA games is not the same Carcer City mentioned in the HD GTA games either. And the same goes for Los Santos, etc. The only exception is the city of Miami - it was revealed in GTA III that the city of Miami did exist in the 3D GTA universe. Ray Machowski, in the mission where you have to drive him to the airport, says he is going to Miami. I very much doubt that this is a mistake by Rockstar Games in which they actually wanted to talk about Vice City, since the Francis International Airport website in GTA III (searchable on the GTA wiki by typing “Francis International Airport website” in the search bar) does mention the city of Miami by offering trips to the city. Miami is also mentioned in GTA: Vice City. Vice City and Miami both co-exist in the 3D GTA universe. However, it is currently unknown whether Miami also exists in the HD universe - perhaps the city will be mentioned in GTA VI. We'll see. 45:06 - yes, even though it’s a (beautiful) reference to GTA III’s ‘Bomb da Base: Act I’ mission, it should be noted that the game also has an ‘Act II’ mission that takes place right after ‘Act I’. So GTA IV’s ‘Bomb da Base: Part II’ is a reference to GTA III’s ‘Bomb da Base: Act II’ mission. Again, very great video and happy 15th birthday to GTA IV!

Also, I have some stuff concerning a "Why Pegorino and his gang is the persona non grata in Liberty City's underworld" lore video that could be brought up: Pegorino's gang has been despised for 2 generations (when his dad was running it possibly since the 1950s, as well the 1980s or so when he took over) He and his wife were physically and verbally abusive towards their son (which drove him over the edge, and possibly the reason why Anthony went to the FIB) I think you mentioned Phil Bell having a high position in that video on why JD was killed in LCS Possibly because of them attacking the Ancelottis since the 1990s

My head canon about Kenny is that he escaped from Yuktobania and decided to operate overseas into Vespuccia. And despite the present Russian mobsters already operating in Liberty City. Petrovic would be the most luckiest mobster in the history of the city’s underground. Even he allowed opposition groups to operate in Hove Beach only because he would take over as a means of his plans for criminal monopolization of Hove Beach. He learned to be Machiavellian. At least Kenny had a plan in taking over Liberty City’s underground. Better than Dutch Van Der Linde.

Petrovic is not a Last Name, in Russian everyone has a first name - like Peter, a surname - like Romanov, and almost always a fathers name (derived from the first name of Person‘s father) - like Alekseevic, or Petrovic. Peter |, or Peter the great (emperor of Russian Empire) was named Peter Alekseevic Romanov, because his dynasty name (family name) was Romanov. The first name of his father was Aleksiy, hence his fathersmane was Alekseevic. And he wasn’t the first of the Romanov dynasty, he was the first who took the title ‚Emperor‘ after expanding and modernising the country.

Great video. I think the reason he didn't appear in GTA 5 is because the Russian Mafia aren't as active on the West Coast compared to the East Coast. I hope we see him in GTA 6.

Petrović is a well-known Serbian surname, the founder of the Serbian royal dynasty was Petrović, it is the second most common surname here in Serbia (just a fact)

I notice Kenny Petrovic wasn't really friends with other criminals like Dimitri Rascalov and Ray Bulgarin. He didnt seem to care about their demises that much at all. I guess goes to show that every gang in Liberty is out for themselves. Even the ones in alliances often have an uneasy relationship. This is much different than the situation in GTA SA where Frank Tenpenny and CRASH basically controled the whole Los Santos streets at one point in the story. Is there a reason for this?
@aribantala Жыл бұрын
Too little teritories to physically control without the Law stopping them. Liberty are chock full of gangs and crime families. Every single ethnic group in that City have at least one Crime syndicate associated with them. The Italians got at very least 3 (Pegorinos, Pavanos, and Ancellotis), Russians got 2 (Faustin's and Petrovich's), The 2 Bikers gangs (AOD and TLMC), the Albanian Mafia, the Jamaicans (Little Jacob's circle), the Dominicans (Luis former gang and where his friends like Armando is still a part of), the African Americans got Liz Torres's Posse. Not to mention the small fishes like the Irish and Triads And what do they fight over? Two islands that barely the size of 3D Universe Los Santos and Alderney, which no one really cares about The Mayor of Liberty City being on an all out war against Crime and Terrorism doesn't help the situation either. The Jingoism Act (their Universe version of PATRIOT act) essentially gave the Mayor carte blanche to prosecute any kind of crime under the sun in Liberty City, Ban the sale of weapons (that's why we buy guns at a racketeer black market gun store instead of the Iconic Ammu-Nations) and the Government as a whole pretty much tapped on every single phone in Liberty and Alderney, giving ample access of information to LEA for Prosecuting criminals. In SA, Alliances can be easy to make. Los Santos big enough that only rival gangs of local areas are vying for power like between Grove Street v Ballas (discounting the internal strife between Temple Street Chapter and main Grove Street because that's due to recent event, not actual rivalry). San Fierro is basically controlled by only 3 Gangs (Chinese Triads, Vietnamese Mafia and the one Hispanic based gang wearing teal), Las Venturas is practically clean, with only Outside crime families using the Casinos to launder money. And unlike in Liberty and Alderney, the cops in San Andreas is insanely corrupt. Tenpenny is literally banking out of the stuff he supposed to handle and stop. Not like LCPD aren't, but the only corruption seen acted out by them is for them to shut up or look the other way, not actively working on it, a clear sign that Corruption in LCPD are pretty much mild. TL;DR: Too small of an area for anyone to safely control, making wars and infighting more common. And government in Liberty are actively making their business hard, which make prospects smaller... Smaller "schools of fish" to catch while there's a lot more "fishermen"

Something I just thought about, what if the GTA 5 online protagonist is the same as the GTA 4 multiplayer character. After all, we do see the protagonist is not originally from Los Santos, it's possible that one of Petrovic's members that you play as is the GTA online protagonist. Maybe after the epilogue, the protagonist couldn't find work and that's how they meet Lamar.

Your videos covers interesting topics in these games. In the beggining of discovering the channel I kinda err disliked (not the correct word but anyway) the amount of time they all had, but eventually I started to like! I mean, it covers every detail very well and they are interesting to watch! Good work!
