I'm an Orthodox Christian and we see Mar Mari as a heretic because of his Nestorian view of the trinity. He claims Mary isn't the Mother of God because he believes Christ and God are separate beings(Nestorian) Where you are absolutely 1000% wrong is Mary not being a virgin. She is the EVER VIRGIN, and that was established as Dogma during the 3rd ecumenical counsel if I'm not mistaken. You're wrong, She has always been a virgin.

@LordKeeble The Trinity is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. 3 distinct persons with 1 divine essence and nature. The Son is eternally begotten from the Father, and the Holy Spirit eternally proceeds from the Father. It's called the monarchal Trinity and is the Cappadocian model that was established during the 1st ecumenical counsel, which gave us the Nicene Constantineopolitan creed, which makes this distinction. (1st counsel anathematized Arius(arians) view of the trinity) Nestorians (who were later anathematized and deemed heretics in the 3rd counsel if I'm not mistaken) believe Christ who is 100% God and 100% Man are 2 separate beings(Christ the person and God) instead of One Hypostasis/being. Because of this view, they don't think Mary is the Mother of God, but she is because she gave birth to God, giving him his human nature, but not his divine one(obviously) which is eternal. I heavily suspect that Mari is a rare breed, in that he seems to truly believe everything he preaches, to the point where he was recently attacked at his church and lost an eye, yet continues to whole heartedly preach the particular Gospel that he has always preached. Unfortunately, the truth is the truth, there is one true Gospel. And error is error, falsehood is falsehood, heresy is heresy, and blasphemy is blasphemy - no ifs, no buts. Mari preaches Mary as divinity, therefore, he has crossed all three the lines of error and hersey, and his now way deep into Blasphemy. There is one God, one divine being, and HIS name is Jesus. Mary was just a woman; the particular woman that God the Father chose to bring Christ into the world through; nothing more, nothing less: " There came then his brethren and his mother, and, standing without, sent unto him, calling him. And the multitude sat about him, and they said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren without seek for thee. And he answered them, saying, Who is my mother, or my brethren? Mark 3:31-35 Jesus didn't exalt Mary above any other human, period. So, why should we?

I listened to him and quickly concluded that he was a shameless heretic. I dismissed him completely when he gave a testimony that Jesus came to him in person. He walked into his room. He was tall, handsome, about 6"2, slim build, long flowing hair, green eyes, etc., and"jesus" told him that he approved him as a priest/bishop. This according to him was shortly after he was excommunicated and expelled from the program to become a bishop. None of it passed the smell test or conformed to any biblical precedent. From a Catholic perspective it depends on how the terms are used. Sola Gratia - Catholics believe that it is all by the grace of God. We are saved by grace through faith(Eph. 2:8-9) working in love(Gal. 5:6). We cannot believe nor work our way to Heaven. It is by the grace of God that we get there. Sola Fide - I would ask how it is defined. Nowhere, in Scripture, does it say that we are justified by faith alone, in fact, it is teaches against the idea(James 2:24). Solus Christus - Christ Jesus is the only Person who is both God and man. For that reason He is unique and the sole Mediator between us and the Father. Now, in saying Solus Christus we cannot forget about the Father nor the Holy Spirit. We also cannot separate the Head from His Body, the Church. Sola Deo Gloria - Not an issue with Catholics. Sola Scriptura - Nowhere does the Scripture teach that it is the only authority. In fact, it points to the authority of the Church(Matt. 18:17-18) and Sacred Tradition(2 Thess. 2:14-15).

What was he supposed to do? She was obviously widowed and alone. Someone had to stand up and take care of her, so why not John? Life was very hard for a widows in those times. they could only hope that their oldest son would take them in, or some other relative.There was garrentee that any of Jesus's half brothers or sisters were believers, and if that were the case would you want her to fall into their hands? Yes, he is dedicated, passionate, bold, and willing to stand up to anyone for what he believes in. But if it’s not the gospel truth, it’s of no value. Muslims are also very bold and passionate and sacrificial about their beliefs. It’s not your level of faith or passion or boldness or sacrifice that saves a person, it’s what (who) you believe in that is igniting all of that. And if it’s not Jesus Christ, (the Jesus Christ of the Bible, Old Testament, New Testament, the gospel!), then it’s all in vain. Actually eucharist is in the bible and it means to give thanks, and has nothing to do with communion, other than we give thanks for the finished work of the cross. You need to understand the emphasis Catholics and Orthodoxy places on Mother Mary is vastly different. We consider her important but we don't worship her. We ask her to pray for us for she is a blessed woman enjoying a blessed position in the Kingdom of God. On earth we ask our friends and family to pray for us for we believe Lord hears each and every prayer. So why not ask a blessed woman, that too, the mother of Jesus to pray for us.

I came across this guy by chance a few months back. I think someone posted a clip of him and so I had a look on KZbin. Those first few things were short and what he said was pretty doctrinally sound. I was curious about him though as the way he spoke was odd. I’m Australian and I hear a lot of people from different cultures speak Australian English with their accents, and there was just something a bit strange - almost as if it was an act. While the way he dresses is strange too, i immediately just assumed it was some branch of Eastern Orthodoxy and based on the first few things I heard hums ash I assumed his excommunication was due to him not holding to EO/catholic beliefs... butbit didn’t take long to realise that wasn’t it when I went and looked up the church website . I think I looked at the website after the first time I heard him say something questionable, and saw some of the stuff you showed here. After that I stopped watching anything from him other thy a few things around the time of him being stabbed during a service and just after and that was really just to try and work out what happened. This clip of him saying Mary saved him from hell is even more insane than most of the other stuff I’d heard from him and I’m glad you found and showed that here.

Regardless of how what the standpoint about views about like Mary, they key question is if Jesus is your God, Lord and Savior. The rest is debatable as long as the salvation is not compromise. For instance, lots of charismatic people believe the theology of Catholics/orthodox actually worships saints when they view it as asking a person who lived close to God to pray for one another. Intercession. The same when we have altar call. Or even if Reinhard Bonke would be in town and people would want him to pray for them. But then of course we have Catholic/orthodox churches which are changing the broad theology and Maybe treat Mary like she is higher than God, as like they’re a sect. But the same issues and extremes can be found within any of the charismatic denominations. Just a clarification about communion. I mean if you as a Protestant would attend a mass part of the communion you would get a blessing instead of sharing the bread/wine. At the end of the day Jesus looks to our hearts and it’s one another alone who will cross the river of Jordan not holding anyones hand. The challenge is to be in a Jesus centered church where you can have support through your whole lif

Making Mary a perpetual virgin and someone worthy of worship other than God Himself is a very serious heresy. If you don't know what the Bible says about this it will be hard to discern how blasphemous that really is. There is no such thing in the Bible as Mary being a virgin her entire life or that she should ever be an object of worship. Mary with her new husband Joseph went on to have at least 6 more children. FOUR of the normal sons of Mary and Joseph are named in the New Testament. TWO of the authors of the New Testament, James and Jude, are in fact sons of Mary and Joseph. Again, I don't think you understand how serious this heresy really is. To make the Lord's supper or baptism into sacraments, meaning they play a part in our salvation are also incredibly terrible teachings believed by millions of people around the world. These are ORDINANCES that Jesus Christ commanded to be done by the church, but neither of them plays any part in our salvation. Salvation is the free gift of God through faith in what the Lord Jesus did for us on the cross by shedding His innocent blood for our sins and rising again on the third day. That is the gospel that we must believe to be saved from eternal damnation. That man is teaching very serious heresies. This is MUCH MORE than about how the man dresses.
