Melchizedek = King Jupiter. Jupiter the thunder god, is also ha Shem.

@@harveywabbit9541 Only in your imagination. While there is no doubt mystery to this person, Melchizedek, the Bible is clear that he is a priest of "the Most High God.". He is not God. Jupiter, Zeus and the rest are all pagan idols, possibly modeled after the fallen angels assigned to the nations. It's all outlined in scripture. No need to make things up. 🙏

@@harveywabbit9541 In the Hebrew origination of the word "Shem" is defined as: The Name (of Conspicuous Position) and is a direct reference to The Famous Name of The Hero from that story. It does not mean Jupiter... However, The entire description of one Biblical character is as follows: A giant who migrates by rolling who has a blood spot in his forehead and four obvious things with him which look like Brass, Iron, Black with white spikes and Silvery-looking objects, who becomes obvious at a great distance during The End Times. These are the words; Giant, Goliath, Philistine, Gath & a description of his 4 pieces of armor and the Stone in his forehead. He heralds in the new paradigm.. He is the fifth character out from the King (Zeus or Sol, the sun) and yes, Jupiter has all of those aspects and nothing left over... Jupiter, The Great Red Eye (reforming into the forehead as we speak), the Galilean Moons Io, Calisto, Ganymede and Europa, and if ignited to a short-term star would definitely be visible from here, and would in fact be "The brightest Star in the sky" and for one whole year out of every twelve is "...in the East" Peace.

IMO it is that the English texts of The Bible are 'Under Translated' in that they did not givve the meanings of things that look like the names of persons and things. "The Order of Melchizedek" means: 'Those people dedicated to The King of Righteousness, The King of Peace having true understanding of that King". Only The Son knows The Father, The King of Peace and Righteousness. Christ Jesus is of a group... The Order of Melchizedek. Being there is only one Christ Jesus for this Earth, this requires that YHVH has multiple Earths. Peace.

I am so glad you add that statement at the end. I just started really learning about the Bible around four years ago. Maybe because I’m a retired teacher, I do my own research and I bring Xeroxes of articles from my own books and I print articles from websites where there is an expansion or just a simple explanation of what we are learning in class. My current teacher totally ignores the printed material that I pass out to my classmates. I have an image I use with friends sometimes-“Bible blinders.” I just recently brought in an essay on the different approaches used to study the Bible, and I think it’s a shame that students wear these blinders and are taught to intentionally ignore other sources that could help elucidate what they’re reading.

You are right about being an interpretation because is all that it is. Read The Book Of Melchisedek by yourself and find out how clearly and simply Abraham calls and acknowledges Melchisedek as The Messiah. Do not let anyone put their own ideas into your head without verifying the facts by yourself. Of course it can sound logical, but there are many opinions that "sound logical" and are totally the opposite. In The Book Of Melchisedek it cleary states AND EXPLAINS how all happened and how Melchisedek and Jesus are the same person!

The Greek verb for "resembling" (ἀφομοιόω) can be translated as "similar to" or "made like." Thanks for watching!

Well, instead of listening to "The Bible according to Chad" why don't you read The Book Of Melchisedek tell you the truth. And that is that Melchisedek is The Messiah. Abraham does not beat around tbe bush, he clearly states and acknowledges Melchisedek as God himself. Not based on human ideas or "translation services". Let the word speak for itself.

Thank You Mr. Bird. I tried reading more about Melchizedec on a number of occasions, and I'm Christian, but so many faiths, from so many time periods, with so much diversity, only gave me one conclusion, No one on planet earth could ever piece out the actual truth about it all. There's no unscrambling scrambled eggs. I felt we only can go by what God has said, that we do know is truth. God picked Melchizedek, he was Civil servant King and Priest of a town, and God was proud of his ability. Abraham loved his nephew, and saved him, and Abraham gave tithes of his goods to Melchizedek to keep the town going, and Melchizedek recognized Abraham's contribution. Mel and Abram obeyed and loved God. Simple as that. God saw it in their hearts, so he gave them jobs to do, that needed a stout heart. And both men, did their vey best, made some mistakes, but they kept going.

Problem is that there is no Biblical reference that links Melchizedek to a Canaanite King. It is only done by tradition. The term " Order of Melchizedek" is simply in reference to the humanity of Jesus Christ and prior to that humanity he was Melchizedek since the reason for Jesus having quoted the text was in relation to who the Messiah truly was. Was he after David or before David? Jesus was emphasizing the fact that Messiah Melchizedek was before David. The reason for Psalm 110: 1-4 mentioning the Order of Melchizedek Involves two factors which have been overlooked. The 1st scenario which = the Alpha being the context of the conversation which existed prior to the Incarnation and is linked with the information in John 1:1 and 2nd scenario being the Omega offspring of David =the Kingship of putting all enemies under his feet would be a post Incarnation scenario of (Romans 1:3, 4) in its proper context which commenced with the overshadowing of Mary and what took place in Bethlehem as well as the resurrection from the dead= retaking up of his former glory but now in the form of the God -man being Melchizedek made like the Son of God. It is within the context of the first scenario= Alpha that reveals that Melchizedek was a preexistant being prior to the Incarnation and that is the reason as to why King David refers to Melchizedek as his Lord. Scenario # 2 =That Kingship which would be established upon the throne of David after Melc was made man which = the Order of Melc existed prior to the Incarnation as Melchizedek himself who would later be born on earth as Jesus Christ and upon taking the humanity of Jesus Christ he has the human genetics along with the retaking of his former glory of Melc in the context of Romans 1:4 and Hebrews 6:19-20. Upon taking humanity upon himself Melchizedek was made like the Son of God from the Omega perspective = offspring of David. The matter of Melchizedek's appearance in Genesis not being a Christophany and instead being a Canaanite King, can you please quote chapter and verse? Another important factor was your presentation of Document 11Q13 which clearly identified Melchizedek with the Elohim and not with the tradition of a Canaanite King. Another problem involves tradition in reference to Melchizedek being the Patriarch Shem who survived the flood. It is rather obvious that if indeed Shem was representing Melchizedek we still have two problems 1) Shem had a genealogy which began with Noah and he also had a mother and 2) At some point he died unless God took him to heaven without seeing death as perhaps 1 of those 24 elders mentioned in the book of Revelation or one of the people who rose from the dead and walked around the city of Jerusalem when Christ died and was resurrected. What Paul is writing in Hebrews 7:1-3 regarding the eternity of Melchizedek is simply a repetition of the inextricable link with the eternity of Melchizedek as revealed in Psalm 110:1-4. This whole subject matter relates to the importance of the two scenarios of Alpha and Omega of which Jesus mentioned in reference to himself in Revelation 22:13-16. The Canaanite perspective has no biblical foundation yet the eternity of Melchizedek is confirmed by Jesus in those verses where he states that he is the Alpha as well as the root of David which = before David thus confirming what is stated in Psalm 110:1-4 Melchizedek prior to David= root of David in the Alpha scenario prior to the Incarnation.

Also Melchizedek coming at the end of time seems to be confirmed by the channeled body of work spoken through Paul Selig, beginning with the book I Am The Word. After 11 books I find no flaws in the teaching, geared to our times. Blessings and Love♾

Hi Chad , I agree the priesthood of Melchizedek is very interesting! I just believe He was , from the beginning As he was born obviously God s gift to humanity. Sent him to Earth through his mother that died. And He is a preist forever too! Fantastic! So I just keep it simple to avoid confusion.

The best explanation! Few questions for you... 1. Does Melchizedek have any known lineage to Joseph and/or Mary? 2. In Matthew 1:1-17 it tells the lineage of Jesus but through Joseph's decendents. If Joseph was not Jesus actual biological father, why would that lineage be written as so? Why not Mary's lineage. 3. Someone told me that Mary and Joseph were from two tribes made out of kings and priests. Is there any correlation in any of this?

I am noticing how you are not mentioning the Book of Melchizedek found on KZbin. The scroll is found in cave 6 next to the dead sea in 1947 and kept hidden until 1996. In the Book Melchizedek himself says he is placing the scroll in a cave and it will be found 4000 years hence by a Bedouin wanderer in the desert. That's exactly what happened. He said when it is found it will change the world.

@Chad Bird Regarding the name "Melchizedek King of Salem" As you pointed out: Salem comes from the word Shalom, which means 'Peace'. Like Yah-ru-shalom means: Founded Peace, or Founded in Peace, or Founded Peacefully. ...but you did not finish translating the word "mal-kee-tseh'-dek" which means: King of Righteousness Now without a cue, and referring to The Bible having a singular authorship, the full name is... King of Righteousness and Peace. This name must mean only one thing. Peace.

Outstanding, scholarly and unbiased presentation, thank you. Chad, are you familiar with Eli Shukron's excavation in the City of David which he styles as Temple Zero? It's dated to the Middle Bronze Age (the age of Melchizedek and Abraham and the [natural] destruction of Sodom). It was in the open, has four chambers and is an early Canaanite holy site. It has a grain and an olive press, an altar and a standing stone or Matzevah (possibly Jacob's Stone?). The late Dr. Earnest L. Martin, in his book "The Temples that Jerusalem Forgot" (2000), presents massive evidence that the Jewish Temples were in the City of David, with the Haram al-Sharif being the Fortress Antonia. I've recently come to the conclusion that Temple Zero is a Canaanite proto-Temple of Zion, located just above the Gihon Spring. Eli says that the Temple Zero was deliberately sheltered by walls and a stone ceiling and respectfully buried. Eli, however, does not dispute that the Temples were on the now traditional Temple Mount, but I think, as did Jews in the middle of the first millennia, that it was in the City of David. Whether Jesus' prophesy that there would not be one stone left on another was an actual prophesy or backed in, the quote wouldn't have made it into the Bible if it hadn't appeared that way. I think it's very telling that the first verse in Psalm 110 was quoted by Jesus in all three synoptic gospels, as his argument that the Messiah (???Melchizedek???) was not the Son of David. Speaking of Sodom, can you make sense of Genesis 14, which appears to conflate Malchizedek, the King of Salem, with the otherwise unnamed King of Sodom?
@chadbird1517
@chadbird1517 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you very much for this helpful, additional information. No, I am not familiar with Shukron's excavation, but I will gladly look into it. It stands to reason that there were temples in Jerusalem prior to Solomon's since the city had been the habitation of Jebusites before, who presumably had their own temple(s). Regarding Genesis 14: I do not think we need to see a conflation of the two kings, Melchizedek and Sodom's king, although the Melchizedek section (vv. 18-20) does seem to be an intrusive addition to the otherwise smooth narrative. I suspect what the author is doing is boldly contrasting the two kings. Sodom's king "goes out" and the first thing he says is "give." Melchizedek, on the other hand, "brought out" a gift and spoke a blessings. Given Sodom's reputation, this contrast between the two kings is likely deliberate.

Just a slight word of caution. Don’t assume that the people of Salem at the time of Melchizedek were Jebusites. Jebusites aren’t mentioned as inhabitants of Salem in Genesis but in a generic way. An inscription from Mari in eastern Syria mentions the Jebusites as a local semi nomadic people. I think it very likely that the Jebusites originally moved about quite a bit but ended up conquering Salem and taking it over from the original inhabitants who Melchizedek was the king of.

Melchizedek is a title, not a name, although since priesthoods were passed in lineage it could be thought of as a Sir-name or "last" name. Thus Melchizedek is not so much a person as a lineage. This can be seen in the oldest oral traditions, and Abrahamic texts. Equating 'Melchizedek' to a specific person is a little like referring to everyone with the last name 'Smith' as the same guy.

Or better still, a 'frictionless plane'. I don't have a problem believing that these perfect imaginary figures sit up there in the realm where pi and phi, Pythagorean's theorem, etc., reside. Because I don't take these stories to be anything more than stories. Unicorns exist in that realm as well. There's near universal recognition of these unicorns among the general population as well. Melchizedek IS God Himself. The bread an wine He shared with Abram was the New Covenant that God cut with Abram as man's representative. The Bible says that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us..so the covenant to forgive his sin was cut while Abraham was still Abram, the sinner, the Gentile.. Abram gave Him a tithe, because the Bible says the tithe belongs to the Lord and Abram knew Melchizedek is YHWH. Believe it. Then read Psalm 110. Now, God is speaking to His Son Yeshua in heaven.. Yeshua is a priest forever according to the order that was established by His father, the King of Salem and the Priest of Righteousness, Melchizedek.

Outstanding master blessed thesis .. many valid questions arise from the the pre diluvial conception and his post diluvial survival,.... within the context of their understood concepts of those days, not having a father doesn't mean not being a progenitor involved and not having a mother means the woman was never able to stand up in her feet/nor project her new born into the Cosmos after birth, ( a fully developed child was delivered after labor from an already dead pregnant woman, .. still could happen in our modern days )all of Melchizedek conception and birth stayed at an earthly ground and a possible underground level, ...due to the pre diluvial timing involved, maybe a science-'Fiction' book is the easiest and safetiest way to lead us into a more comprehensive understanding in present time....

Paul had a lot to say on Melchizedek which the people weren't spiritually matured to hear. I think it's important we realise there was certainly a spirirual aspect to him and he was clearly an important figure.

What about the timeline of genealogy in the Greek Septuagint vs. the modern day Bible? Seems the modern scripture was re-written at some point so the life of Shem would overlap Abraham thus pointing to the Messiah must come from the Levi priesthood instead of Gods priesthood of Melchizedek.

The question of the relationship between the LXX and the Masoretic text is so vast and complicated that some scholars research that field for their careers, so we won't be untying that knot in a single comment. All I will add, by way of clarification, is that it's not an issue of the "modern day Bible" or scripture "re-written." We have plenty of early textual evidence from the Dead Sea Scrolls that aligns with much of the later Masoretic text, thus showing that the Scriptures were not rewritten. Were there differences between the Greek and Hebrew? Yes, certainly. But there are plenty of ways to attempt to explain these differences that are fair and balanced and scholarly. For a basic resource on this, see Textual Criticism of the Hebrew Bible by Emmauel Tov.
