I always thought it was Ni from the 6NA books. I also used to make up my own Lion King OC's and made up a dad for her who was a white lion, but kidnapped to perform in Las Vegas magic shows. I named him after a character in this book I had to reach in school called "The Rat Cather's Son & other Stories" by Carolyn Landon about a Nigerian grandfather telling stories to his grandkids that relate to a life lesson they are also learning. The son of the rat catcher runs away after failing to catch a rat, fearing his father will beat him. He's assumed to be an orphaned street urchin and adopted by a man called Idirishu who's either a king, or just rich. I named my version of Nala's father after that character and yes, in the story, he eventually gets rescued and returned to his family in the pride lands. The magicians who own him were never sure where he came from and easily surrender him to go back home and help fight wildlife trafficking.

I watched a video describing Sarafina's Story and her role In which they have confirmed that Nala's Father's Name Is Mathoota and they described more about him which I can't explain in the comments cause that would be as long as a 10 minute video

I would think her father was one of the lion guard who was led by scar when scar was the leader of the lion guard of his time besides we saw lion guardsman, and they’re both male lions perhaps they visit pride rock often to be mates with the female lions and Mufasa allowed it like one of those male lions could’ve been nala’s father but scar killed one of them before Nala was born that it could explain a lot

My theory is that Nala's father was part of Scar's Lion Guard but he was killed when Sarafina was still pregnant with Nala and Mheetu (Nala's younger brother) so that's why we never see him in the first movie

@Tupclutch He does in the early drafts, but I think he still existed but offscreen, after Scar took over the pride lands he banished all the male cubs with their adoptive mothers (Simba's childhood friends, In my headcanon they're real pride got killed by hyenas but Mufasa adopted them and gave them adoptive mothers) but Mheetu refused to go so Scar ordered the hyenas to kill him, he ran away and fell in a gorge but he survived and he later came back as an adult lion but he already had a mate and decided to start his own pride but he promised to visit Nala occasionally

I think in Mufasa one of the other lionesses are Nala's mother and she is either already pregnant or the cub shown in the movie could be Nala since she acts a bit more mature she could be a bit older than Simba. 🤷🏼‍♀️ That's what I think it for sure isn't Scar or Mufasa cause before they scrapped the idea Scar was gonna try to make Nala his mate and Mufasa wouldn't be the dad cause that would make Nala and Simba siblings.

Mufasa and Simba's manes always looked red to me. The reason mufasa can't be nala's father is because Disney is humanizing the lions.

Actually, the Lion Guard is non-canonical. The prequel Mufasa was their attempt to say that Scar and Mufasa were adopted siblings only. In a lion pride during a takeover, the male lions will kill the cubs not sired by them so they can mate with the females. No cubs, no motherly duties, nothing to stop them coming back into estrus. When the male cubs grow to the age of 2 (ish), they leave the pride and strike out on their own, either gaining a pride or wandering solo or in pairs. If a rogue lion DID mate with a pride female, the cubs would be killed by the adults.

The lion guard is the pur bullshit it doen't even country for a sequel and it bad made!!🤢🤮. And the Mufasa movie doen't fit either. Scar would be the obivous choice for Nala's father and it was normal, back in time that some cousins did marry one another. So I wouldn't be surprised if Simba and Nala betrothed by birth. Why don't we just stick to the TWO original movis back in the 1990s seriously!!
