What a fun little drone. I've got all the devices to use with it and just got the FPV controller so going to learn manual with this little guy. I'll then connect the controller to my Avata 2. If I crash the Neo it's pretty well protected and not a huge expense. Having so much fun.

I've watched dozens of tests and unboxings of this DJI Neo, almost everyone emphasized that it's a selfie drone. To this day I haven't seen a tester upload any selfie photos from this drone. Make another episode of the film and add some photos and videos to download.

Hi.Great small pocket/selfie drone,I'm buying this, but only drone just for selfies and short videos on holiday for that is really this drone!Better to cut your expectations in the beginning like be disappointed later with quality , flying time and range spending a lot of money for fly more combo! This will be a nice addition to my DJI mini 3 Pro!

Def want to get one. Waiting for the $349 combo with the controller. Then down the road, after some... ok lots... of FPV computer sim training I will pick up the goggles and yet another controller for the complete package. I did read somewhere that they might be coming out with a cheaper goggle so I will be keeping an eye out for that. Luv your video and it looks like a cool place you live at!

I have never flown a drone in my life. I paint murals and want to use it to get cool shots of painting and possibly use the follow feature for some b roll. That being said, I ordered one yesterday with the controller. It doesn’t release until mid October here in the US, so I have to wait a bit. I am hoping that it isn’t too difficult to learn the controller. I will definitely use the built in actions, but am hoping to get some decent custom flights using the RC-N3…Time will tell I guess.

It's clearly for me. That's why bought it a few days ago. This is the new (neo)Tello. Very similar in size (the tello has a little bit larger wheelbase). Similar weight...

The Tello was great for it's time...but this is truly light years beyond what the Tello could do. Especially with O4 and the goggles.

@@readysetdrone I still have 4 Tellos, so easy to compare. Obviously the camera is not in the same league, but it's 6,5 years old. The range neither obviously, but the size is very similar. Small difference in weight and the position in the dji lineup. Also the tello can be flown with smartphone app and controller, just like the neo. I love both, keep on flying Tello too.

I have a feeling there are going to be alot of creators that will use this without a part 107 but will be using the footage in ways that will be considered commercial use (so it would need to be registered and the operator would need to have and comply with Part 107). I think it's going to bring a different group of people into the drone world. It also somewhat challenges the rules for Line of sight and control, especially if only under voice control.

I think it depends on where you live. In the USA, I don't think that combo is available with the RC.

It does work with several other RCs, so that is a plus if you already have one that is compatible.

Yes - you might pay that much for a much less sophisticated toy drone. This is not really a toy - it's got DJI's tech in it and that makes it pretty good for the price.

You need a high capacity USB plug. A 5v plug won’t do all 3 at once. Try a 60v usb c for a laptop. That should work.

I wish I had a solid answer for you. I have heard that if you're flying with a phone and you lose connection, it will just land. So if you're over water, that won't be good. I've actually had it go into the water while flying in manual mode, so there's no good answer for you. However, the reason it went into the water in manual mode was random and had nothing to do with being over water. 🫤 If the water is calm, it might be worse and confuse the sensors. So moving water might be your best bet.

I’m waiting for dji to make work with the goggles and controller 2. I have the avata 1 and avata 2 which I fly on the 2 equipment. So I’m not going to spend the money on the 3 equipment. If dji doesn’t do that then I won’t buy a Neo.

I hear that if it doesn’t think there is enough light it’ll refuse to fly or automatically land.. so even if you fly indoors it’ll land if think not enough light .. Also the camera isn’t great in low light … If you’re not already in the eco system then it’s like the Hover Drone… If you have the googles & controller great .. Orherwise I’d skip it & get The Avata .. 😀This could be the last DJI product in US if ban goes ahead

We actually just flew it in a dark room with no lights. It did give a verbal warning, but seemed to fly without a problem, which was very surprising. Here's the video of that. We were filming it with a thermal camera. kzbin.infoPC5E_7rk5FA

I bought the Hoverair ProMax combo pack comes with all the accessory and the beacon, first day of the pre-order released, is it much better than this better in quality and top features, can't wait getting there the next month, this is just a strip down 4K drone that's all about it, That's why is peanut price, if all that features and quality of ProMax was in this NEO, I bet on the money was over $1,000 EASY , for what we getting with Promax is bargain even with combo pack✨🌟💪👍

I already have the DJI MINI 4 PRO and the DJI AVATA 2 so I wonder if I even need the DJI Neo ??? Yeah of course I need a Neo to add to the collection. It's a fun looking wee drone and cheap as chips so why not just add it to the collection
