As a Sooner transplant that’s lived in Louisiana, I expect Kerry will do well with the recruits in Louisiana and expand LSU recruiting reach to locations Cooks has previous contacts across the country.

Yea Corey left the new DB coach a lot to love in the cupboard. If they keep these guys in the program they have a deep unit of players with a lot of versatility and snaps under their belt.

THIS!! I'm not feeling the mass hysteria of Corey Raymond's departure. We'll be fine without him and the geography of BR from Gainesville may play a small part in recruiting between LSU and Florida when it comes to DB's. Some willing to go far, some won't. Gotta put a fence around Louisiana. And yes the battle is won in the trenches....John Madden said this alot back then.

Texas Tech can’t recruit Texas. If you have connections, you can do much better at LSU. I’ve always thought LSU should be recruiting Texas better… especially East Texas. OU recruits that area wonderfully which is wild af.

Changing the culture sometimes means replacing more than just players, that locker room got bad , I've been saying it all year, you don't go from being that good to that bad unless you lose the locker room and that locker room had some cancer in it , sometimes when guys are there so long they feel more powerful then they really are, I like what he's doing , clean house , anybody that had anything to do with the cancer or anybody that's not ecstatic to be here has gotta go , yea it hurts but you gotta keep cutting away until you get all the cancer, it hurts like hell but if you don't get it all itll come back 🤦🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️ lol carve it up BK 🤣

I’m ok with Raymond going elsewhere. DBU is bigger than him. Yes, CR should have been paid more. But we’ve not been DBU in a while. Lots of opt-outs from the supposed “DBU,” and we’ve been without the best corners all year. Let’s see how the new guy does. Lots of trust for Kelly right now… he’d better be making great (not good) hires. $100M better not end up 8-4 or 9-3. The $$ means we give him one year and then we’d better be 10+ wins every season or Kelly will be run out of Baton Rouge…with Woodward right behind him. Let’s give the guy a chance…but LSU fans are not overly patient. 🐯

The real issue is that this old time locker room has a history of producing Nationally challenging teams every 5 or 6 years. Kelly wants to compete with Saban EVERY year. Let him bring in the guys that he feels can achieve this. GEAUX TIGER!!!

The best thing he could do and the first thing he should do is ditch the DBU crap. 2019 pass defense 51st, 2020 127th, 2021 91st. You cant call yourself DBU when your DBs are getting lit up weekly, cant tackle, and are clueless as far as their assignments. This DBU crap is a prime example of what is wrong at LSU and it is a culture of entitlement. You do not define yourself by what those before you accomplished, you make your own mark. That is a reality that has been lost at LSU. You never hear crap like this from Bama, because the first message that Saban delivers each year after winning ANOTHER natty is "this team has not accomplished anything yet, it is up to you to decide your legacy, not the ones that were here before you"........

Corey was getting paid 40% LESS than Kelly's latest hire...who wouldn't leave after being disrespected like that? Corey Raymond is a class guy, a great coach, and consistently stayed while others ( or arguably lesser skills ) got paid more, and got more respect from staff and administration. The new guy has some credibility...but he is NOT the coach that Corey Raymond is.
@straighttalk873 жыл бұрын
Idiots bring up LSU pass defense the last 5 years to downplay Corey Raymond, fail to mention LSU has been struggling to create a pass rush. Whatever helps you cope I guess 🤷🏾♂️
