Who is Ruby in Mortal Kombat?!

A ninja with a small part in MK history has gotten a bigger and bigger following each game! With the need for more ninjas and more girls with sick powers, RUBY in the perfect candidate. Let's talk history, theories, and my ideas for this character with tons of opportunity!

I remember when Ed Boon first teased a new character just a picture of a female leg with a red boot. I actually thought it was Ruby, but we all found out later it was Skarlett.

Ruby may have some potential in the future.. She's a very interesting character that I've probably only seen a couple of times.. But I did hear about Jax being captured and Ruby being his jailor. But wow, I didn't know Jax and Ruby had a little something starting there in defenders of the realm.. I would be down for a Jax/Ruby pair up in this timeline. Jacqui Briggs will be an ultra NINJA soldier now, lol. I'm eyeing those very rare characters like Ruby, Komodai, Khrome, Hydro, and others.. It would be amazing for them to finally show in a Mortal Kombat game. Hell, I wouldn't be mad at an appearance from them in Mortal Kombat 1🔥🔥🔥 #MK1🔥🐉

I think one way of bring Ruby back into the story is making her Jax's daughter. Basically, replace the name Jacqui with Ruby, and then that's it, and have her wear red. Have a Jacqui that's a ninja and not a complete replica of Jax... And have her trained by Sub-Zero. Idk.

@@tv.casper When you deeply think about it, there probably is. They're just not playable characters. They're most likely seen in the background or the exist behind certain plot. Saphire could be the mother of Saphira (who is shown in your video). Amber may be the sister of Tremor that he never talks about. Amethyst may be the distant sister of Argus (who is Rain's father), Emerald may be the zeteran yet to be revealed. And Trollz... a relative to Moloch?

Ruby being introduced and brought in as a story expansion character isn't such a bad idea. Not only do you reintroduce her with the special forces, you can have her as one of the first new characters of mk1 (granted ik she isnt NEW). With this, you could make her Jax's love interest, removing a certain hated combat kid from the franchise as a whole. (Or adding onto her character with ruby's powers and culture.)
