Rum is not Roman Catholic. Rum is Turkish for Romans. When the Turks came into Asia Minor they referred to the Greeks as “Rum” because the Greeks identified as “Ρωμαίους”. Rum refers to Greeks and Greek Orthodox peoples who are indigenous to Asia Minor. Study Pontos, Cappodocia, Constantinople, Smyrna etc. Asia Minor is home to the original churches of Christianity.

The matter of the Holy Spirit coming from the Father AND the Son is merely conceptual, nature is a theophany, therefore we have the best example to try to understand the mistery of Trinity through the Sun, Sun itself is Father, Rays coming to the Earth is the Son and Warm and Light is Holy Spirit, you can not take one from the other, they are ONE GOD but three manifestations... therefore you can say that the warm and light comes from the Son as well as from the Father. Quran says that Jesus is not God (but God Father) but does not say that Jesus is not God Son (meaning the Verb of God, or His relative condition in space and time incarnated) , all references in the Quran about Jesus not being God are just focusing in the human aspect of Him because the pedagogic "upaya" of the Islam has to do it so... but Jesus is God in human form, God and man in one person, is what hinduism calls "avatar", read Frithjof Schuon to understand this issues, he has a beautiful book called "Understanding Islam". You need to know the premise, That is that there was always only one religion from Adam until Mohammed(pbut) , the purpose of this religion was to guide mankind and it evolved as mankind evolved and became more complex, the previous scriptures where there to guide man along, when man then in turn corrupted to suit there own desires, hence you cannot now still adhere to those beliefs and scriptures, and in them there is clear evidence of the road forward and a new final prophet,
