While there are those viewers who pause to think, and then confine themselves to the understanding that Dhul Qarnain is someone who will impact twice on history, there are others, less intellectually endowed, who continue to indulge in fanciful guesswork while identifying Dhul Qarnain with someone or the other in history.

Dhul Qarnain is he who have power that rest on foundations of faith, and uses that power to punish the wicked and award the righteous. This will manifest itself twice in history, 1st in the past and the 2nd is yet to come. The 2nd Qarn is around the corner, because Putin won't tolerate dust thrown to his face by those who want to win back Crimea.

You have bamboozled me and made me understand explicitly at the same time the sciences of eschatology through your epistemological lens. one question always bothered me is if: Yajuj and Majuj are so strong and cannot be even beaten by ISA (A.S) or any human then how is it that Yajuj and Majuj just simply sat there and allowed ZulQarnain to build a barrier against them? Why they did not fight ZulQarnain? It simply does not make sense or maybe it does in some way! Someone, please enlighten me.

Uzair or Ezra, was a pious servant of Allah and a prophet, Performed miracles similar to jesus, While travelling with his donkey once, he sat under the shade of a tree , surrounding him was ruins of a civilisation , bones etc .. he asked not arrogantly but curiously, “How will Allah resurrect the dead”. So Allah sent him an angel and caused him to die for a 100 years, when he woke up the angel asked him how long were u asleep, he said a day or a part of the day, the angel then said u have been dead for 100 years look at your animal, and then Allah resurrected the donkey in-front of his eyes. He saw how the flesh and the bone all come together, therefore he said now i know for certain that Allah can do anything! He went back to his people (the jews) but no one recognised him , his maid was old by then since 100 years had passed. She said if u are truly ezra or uzair heal my blindness, so just like jesus he performed miracles with the permission of Allah, his sons and grandsons were in power so when he went to them they said the real ezra knows where the authentic torah is, so he found it and showed it to his people, thereafter the jews called him the son of god. You can read his story in stories of the prophets book.

Dear Sheikh, With great respect, I have been your student for a long time, and I would like to draw your attention to certain points regarding Cyrus The Great, possibly being Dhul Qarnain AS. 1. We cannot ignore the fact that the Jewish delegation, who came to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), were referring to a Persian king whom they called "The Anointed One," responsible for restoring exiled Jews back to their promised land after defeating the Babylonian Kingdom around 539 BC. Historians unanimously agree that this king was the first Achaemenid king, Cyrus The Great. It is interesting to note that the first Greek historian, Herodotus, was his contemporary and wrote extensively with high regard about him, even though Cyrus' reign extended as far as Greece (modern-day Turkey). Another Greek general, Xenophon, who led the Greek army back to Greece after a failed adventure into the Achaemenid empire, also wrote highly about Cyrus The Great in his book, "Cyropaedia" 2. The decree that Cyrus The Great wrote, which allowed for the restoration of Jews back to their homeland during his lifetime, played a crucial role in helping the Prophet Nehemiah erect the walls of the Temple of Solomon during the reign of the 4th Achaemenid king, Artaxerxes, around 460 BC. This event was recorded in the Book of Nehemiah. Prophet Nehemiah held a high position at the court of Persian king Artaxerxes. 3. The exchange of letters between King Artaxerxes and officials concerned about the rebuilding of the Temple reflects that Persian kings, up to that time, held the God of Jews in high regard and were monotheists. 4. The land that Cyrus ruled during his lifetime also included modern-day Afghanistan and bordering parts of Pakistan. On the edge of the Wakhan Corridor, the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan, there lives a tribe called the Brusho, who speak one of the world's oldest and most isolated languages known as Brushaski. What is interesting about this language is that it does not belong to any language family and hardly accepts words from other languages. There is a word in Brushaski that is read as "جوش ما جوش," which literally means "invading army who is outnumbered." This tribe was under constant threat from Mongols from bordering China. The last battle between the Brusho tribe and the Mongols occurred around 715 AD at a location known as Tawos in Ghizer District, Pakistan, approximately 130 km inside from the modern Chinese border at the Wakhan Corridor. And he found near it a people. We said, “O, Dhu’l Qarnayn! Either chastise them or adopt a charitable manner with them.” Surah Kahf. We do not know the exact way God spoke to him; it could have been through a dream or a prophet, as during Dhul Qarnain's time, there were a good number of exiled Jews living in his kingdom, and communication through any of the Bane Israeli prophets was possible. I didn't mention the specific journey's route, but I provided some historical background about the region that was part of his great kingdom. For those familiar with isolate languages, there are only five languages in the entire world considered isolate languages (linguistic term), and one of them is Brushaski, ranked at number two by the number of speakers, with around 120,000 speakers, following Swahili. Georgian language is not included as it belongs to the Kartvelian family. If you can provide references for your claims, please do so. Allah knows best.

The bible book Ezra, talks about persian kings Cyrus and Darius, and specifically Darius seems to be praised because he helped the jews to rebuild their temple which is considered the pinnacle for jews. Darius fits the description of dhul-qarnayn perfectly. Darius is a monotheist as proven by inscriptions on his tomb, was a master at building projects, expanded Cyrus his empire to a greater extent and reached the west and east, was righteous and most importantly was a monotheist. Thus we can conclude Darius was Dhul-qarnayn in that Qarn (era) and Allah swt knows best. About gog and magog there are descriptions about them in the bible, they are descendants of Japheth (one of the sons of Noah) and lived in the land of Gomer and Magog (beyond present-day Caucasus). Meaning that the description fits with the location of yajuj and majuj in the quran. It was prophesied about these people being linked to the end times etc. And again Allah knows best

Anyway, I am writing this to bring to you an article which I found which you might find interesting. I was watching this video and started to research the location of Zulkarnain on map and while researching, I came across an article which talks about archeologist discovering thousands of years old tomb of a warrior near Caucasian mountains. That tomb had a helmet where there were design of two horns engraved on it. There was also some artifacts and lots of weapons found in the tomb, you might wanna check it out. There is one hadith which links zulqranain to Cyrus the great. Salaamun Alaykum, The question "who is Zhul Qarnain?" was not answered. The explanation given, despite claims of a Qur'anic methodology, is dependent on narrations as a fundamental source without which this explanation cannot be articulated. Take out the narrations, and you don't have an explanation. And by implication, such explanation inevitably equates the Aayaat of the Qur'an with the narrations (This is something the Sheikh himself frowns upon). Thus, inevitably (maybe unwittingly) tainting the pure message of the Qur'an with the possibility of inserting the inherent uncertainty, corruption and contradictions associated with the narrations as fundamental part of understanding the Qur'an. Another implication is that the Qur'an is in some way, shape or form incomplete, or left gaps that requires (forces) Muslims to go to outside sources (narrations, bible, etc), with their inherent contradictions and corruption, for fundamental understanding for concepts in the Qur'an. This contradicts the well established completeness of the Qur'an in scriptural matters, which Allah makes clear in the Qur'an.

Hello I'm writing to share my experience with you, perhaps there can be some use to it's lesson. For the past four years I have undergone what I call a great plague, meaning I was incarcerated by thoughts in my head and began to suffer delusions rapidly. For some reason my mind was unable to differentiate reality from fiction, and this I ascribe to the work of Shaitaan. As you know, Shaitaan is a great and clear enemy to man, and through this fight with him I became diagnosed schizophrenic. I believe that Shaitaan worked imaginings and said things which made the delusions sweet, and I even became so arrogant as to believe I was a being of higher caliber than Allah SWT. I even posted on these comment sections about it, ranting and raving about what I came to know. But one thing was clear, in amidst the work of Shaitaan. Allah SWT was watching with a watchful eye, and would even send his word down to me in order to guide me, and help me live through that experience I was undergoing at the time. I don't call it Wahi, but I believe it is his word and it does talk to me. It's not like a conversation, though we do have those at times, it's more like I'll just hear it out of the blue at the right times, and I know it is him because of it's quality. Some may not believe that is possible, but if one thing is clear over the last four years, Allah SWT can do whatever he wants! And he guides the righteous, as is explained in the Qur'an. In my view, someone so afflicted needed a bit extra. I hope this helps, because Shaitaan is the primary agent at work in me, and I know from Qur'an he is working in every one of you as well, so be warned, because this could happen to you at any moment! Sheikh i am not your critic but rather i am your well wisher. Pls read this. DHULQARNAIN IS THE TITLE OF PROPHET SULAIMAN PBUH I feel that Instead of borrowing the identity of Dhulqarnain from Bible or any other book I wish we try to identify Dhulqarnain within the Quran but as Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal said rightly so” We Muslims have stopped thinking since last 500 years” We know that Bible has been altered, changed and rewritten since its beginning and in last 1400 years the bible got more corrupted. That traveler or king was replaced by Cyrus and Alexander. The early Muslim translators got influenced from Israeliyat (Biblical version) and while translating and explaining the Quran they adopted the Israeliyati version for explaining Dhulqarnain. Now when we critically compare the personalities and characters of Cyrus and Alexnder with Dhulqarnain we find huge differences. Both of these cannot be Dhulqarnain. Allah SWT spoke directly to Dhulqarnain as “O Dhulqarnain” as he spoke to his other messenger like “O Moses, “O David”, “O Esah” and “O Ibrahim”. So, the implications of considering Alexender or Cyrus as Dhulqarnain mean Allah SWT spoke directly to them. And this is not the case for sure and anyone who believe Cyrus or Alexender is Dhulqarnain then they must ready to answer Allah SWT on the judgement day. We know that Prophets have different titles, attributes besides their actual names. Allah SWT addresses our Prophet Muhammad PBUH as O Muzammil, O Mudasir, and with so many other attribute and titles In the Quran. Why Allah SWT called that personality as Dhulqarnain and not by his actual name? Because it was a response to a question and the questioners did not ask about this personality by his name. They asked indirectly so Allah SWT responded indirectly in a kind of code word so people who think would find the actual personality within the Holy Quran. Unfortunately, we hardly tried to know who the Quranic personality Dhulqarnain is within the Quran or from the Quran even as Allah SWT says “This book might explain all things”. In my humble opinion, to identify Dhulqarnain as who he was, is the most important part of the puzzle to understand the formation of our world today and to understand Dajjal better. It is the Key stone. I have come up with a conclusion that Dhulqarnain is the title or attribute Allah gave to Prophet Sulaiman PBUH. My humble conclusion is from Allah’s blessing who blessed me with a thinking mind. I have tried to make a connection between DHULQARNAIN and Prophet SULAIMAN PBUH. So, without going into further details I share my case. 1. Rabbis asked for “Great traveler” or someone who travelled from one end of the land to the other. In the Quran Allah tells us that Prophet Sulaiman PBUH would travel on wind and he would travel a month journey in a day. I believe that he must have travelled around the globe in his lifetime many times so he is a GREAT TRAVELLER by all means and one of his journeys was between Caspian and black sea and there he eventually built the wall and blocked Gog and Magog. 2. The meaning of Dhulqarnain is not “A man with two horns” QARN never meant as horn in Quran. How can we accept a meaning of a word of Quran that is never used for such meaning in whole of the Quran? Dhul means "The one with" but Qarnain means "Two Nations or Two generations". So why we are having a problem with translating Dhulqarnain as “One with two nations or two generations”. In all history of humankind only Prophet Sulaiman PBUH ruled over two nations or two people, JINN and HUMANS simultaneously. He is also the only one who ruled over a great kingdom from East to West. 3. Dhulqarnain built the wall with Iron and copper and in Quran Allah tells us that he provided Prophet Sulaiman PBUH copper abundantly (Surah Saba Ayat 12). Also, Allah softened the IRON for Prophet David PBUH and Prophet Sulaiman PBUH inherited the kingdom from his father so he also knew how to work with Iron. The transportation of the metal would have done by jinns who would also construct buildings for him and I feel that the construction of that kind of wall or DAM in that time period was only possible by a person like Prophet Sulaiman PBUH who had power on all natural forces of this world and even over JINNS. 4. If you read all Aayat where Allah addressing Dhulqarnain, it seems HE is speaking to prophet Sulaiman PBUH and vice versa and If you read various responses of prophet Sulaiman PBUH it seems as if Dhulqarnain is responding and vice versa. There are so many indications in the Quran which suggest that Prophet Sulaiman PBUH is indeed Dhulqarnain. If read the verses of Quran which Allah SWT talks about both indicates that both of these are same Person. And these similarities in Quran are surely NOT BY ACCIDENT. Jazak Allah Kher
