Who Is Ryder ? | Grove Street Families History

Ryder was born in Los Santos, most likely in Ganton due to his close relationship with Sweet and Carl Johnson. Ryder was expelled from high school for assaulting a teacher who was wearing Ballas colors, although Ryder claims he was 'too intelligent' for school. It is also revealed that Ryder has been a drug dealer since the age of ten.
At an unknown point in time, Ryder joined the Grove Street Families street gang, eventually rising through the ranks of the gang until becoming one of Sweet's closest allies, being helped by the departure of Carl Johnson in 1987 following his brother's death. The Grove Street Families, however, began to lose influence, power and money to their arch rivals, the Ballas, due to their stance against the sale of drugs, which was fueling the Ballas rise to prominence.
Big Smoke attempted to convince Sweet about the benefits of selling drugs but failed, later meeting Ryder in his house where he convinces him to join his newly formed alliance with the Ballas. The alliance is later expanded to include the Los Santos Vagos and Russian Mafia, while another was established with the Loco Syndicate, who began supplying the new alliance with drugs from their base in San Fierro, although they do not realise that an undercover government agent is involved in the operation.

Ryder wasn't actually meant to betray cj and the Grove street but because of some circumstances (maybe because his voice actor left way too early) they had to kill him. 1. if you see, when you do missions with Ryder, it benefits the grove whereas if you do big smoke's mission, it benefits him, the C.R.A.S.H and the ballas 2. during "drive thru" mission big smoke purposely extended his order so that the ballas would arrive in time. there are many other theories

Yeah it feels really weird. I liked Ryder. It's a shame what happened, whatever it was. As I would have liked Ryder to stay. If they had to kill him, I wish they did it differently, and in a way that makes sense. Perhaps even being killed by somebody because he found out too much. He still could have died on CJ's side. But then I guess if there really was any spite between the voice actor and Rockstar....they did it the way we got.

Ryder probably runned an unknown set of the Loco Syndicate, it's interesting that after the mission where you have to photograph him in Angel Pine, he doesn't come up until you gotta kill him in the shootout of Pier 69 in the San Fierro Bay. Smoke runs in Los Santos, Ryder runs in the towns, and is the connection to Smoke's Crack gang and Loco Syndicate. During the time CJ is doing missions like Outrider, the C.R.A.S.H. gang is working with Ryder possibly in Angel Pine. Realizing CJ has found allies of his own (Chinese Triads), Officer Tenpenny collaborates with the Vietnamese gangs to bring heat to San Fierro, because he still wants CJ dead. But C.R.A.S.H didn't know about CJ's infiltration of the Loco Syndicate because they were in Angel Pine or somewhere else. They left after CJ frames the DA, then they find out about some journalist in LS going after Pulaski, so they came back to SF to send CJ to kill the journalist and LB. Although all organized crime is connected in San Andreas one way or another, sometimes they lose sight of each other's moves. CJ is doing precisely what he has to do, turning it around on C.R.A.S.H andthe Syndicate. (Wu Zi Mu is his greatest ally and friend besides Sweet). CJ is a genius. He balanced everything right.

MC eight has never said he had a falling out with rockstar games, so maybe rockstar decided to make him a traitor later on. MC eight has also responded to someone on Instagram asking him what really happened. MC Eight responded saying “that’s all they wanted me to do” so taking what Eight said he never had beef with Rockstar games. MC Eight also showed love to rockstar by shouting them out on a podcast and I’m pretty sure young maylay would have beef with MC Eight at the time if he had a falling out with Rockstar like he did with the voice actor who played Niko Bellic for having beef with Rockstar.
