The Koerner, Ray, and Glover stuff was some of the best modern blues I have ever heard. Along with John hammond and Geoff Muldaur

1964 I started college. I had been a doo wop music lover from Brooklyn. Was really disappointed in a lot of popular music. Was looking for a new direction in music. My college room mate played me, Another Side of Bob Dylan, then Woody, Leadbelly. We then found Blues, Rags and Hollers, the first Hammond album, Muldaur's Sleepy Man Blues, Just Dave Van Ronk, and the gold mine of traditional county Blues. Charlie Patton, Son House, Skip james, Robert Johnson, Sleepy John, Blind Willie Mctell and Johnson, the Sam Charters RBF series and my life has never been the same.@@kostringworks

Where did you find that footage from The Walker? I have been looking everywhere for early(ish) footage of John or Ray Koerner and Glover and have come up completely empty handed!

Dude I wish I could remember. I dug through the depths of YT for this. It's out there, somewhere. I wanna say it was in the middle of an interview. Sorry wish I could help more on that!

You can see his influence on Charlie Parr...and no, you can't teach their picking style. I've shown how it goes though, as best I can.

For sure! At some point you realize it’s like trying to learn someone’s handwriting. Just can’t do it.
