Great video. I live across from Crookhaven and could see my house in the distance😁. The shed Mazzy was looking into was part of a stone quarry that closed in 1939 due to the war and never reopened afterwards. The towers you saw in the distance are Napoleonic watchtowers from the early 19thC. Glad you didn't get stuck in Crookhaven...I've seen buses getting jammed in the middle of the village😂😂.

Stone from that quarry was used in the base of roads in England and Holland. The village was an important port in the 19th/ early 20thC and even had it's own Lloyd's shipping office. Never heard of a holy well on the little island which is called Granny Island. It's believed that an elderly woman once lived on the island. Don't believe that myself. Also, the tower you zoomed in on in the distance on the hill is where Marconi sent some of the first transatlantic radio signals to America. Glad you enjoyed my area. It's lovely when there's no tourists around. Pity it's another rotten day today. Will be watching where ye end up next😊👍

Another great video. Irelands a beautiful place, down the west side on the Atlantic coast it can be a bit wild with the weather. But spectacular scenery. Loads of nice places to visit. I nearly lived in Ireland, but sadly my crazy lady I was going to live with became a statistic of cancer. Otherwise we were going to live a couple of miles up the road from Avoca in Co Wicklow on the east side of Ireland, in another beautiful spot at The Meeting of the Waters. That looked like a large flywheel off something, maybe a steam engine Mazzy, the pipe through the wall might have been a steam exhaust. Could you see any remains of a boiler? Stay Well, stay safe. If you don't believe me just get yourself down to Balleydehob and you'll find the poor sucker stuck there permanently with his camera pointed at the bridge.
