I don't need to see it if it means pushing a pawn all the way across the board from its starting position & promoting, or if it's something simple like a ladder or queen & king or rook & king, but if it's a relatively quick one that involves another piece like this, fair enough.

I think Alireza is honestly better on paper even in 1+0. the thing is that he needs a bit more experience! Hiraku is really chill due to so much experience in matches and streaming. in the beginning of the match Alireza was dominating and then lost focus, and experience is the reason. let's not forget 13 more years of experience makes a huge difference!
@bilguunnyamaa7767 Жыл бұрын
35 year old beats a 20 year old. Imagine if they were the same age. Hikaru was a bullet demon back in the day. This isn't his peak form I would say.

Dude I don't get your point. Experience MUST be considered even "on paper", Hikaru has much more experience than Alireza and this is one of the reason he won Maybe you could say that Alireza has more brut talent or potential, but this is different

While I have no issues with your classical layout, I do think that you should consider changing it a bit while also remaining true to the classical layout. Further, you can put a timestamp for finishing the game even after when "there is nothing more to be done" and people for whom the endgame was straightforward can just skip to the end.

Side question, who is the best bullet player in the world *in comparison to their classical rating* ? I would posit that one way to interpret "best" would be "the person who receives the most benefit from this particular format". I don't know the answer btw. Its just, Magnus is the best player on the planet in general, anyway. It somewhat effects how you view his talent for bullet specifically. Daniel Naroditsky wouldn't have a ghost of a chance playing a set of classical against Magnus, but on any given day has a shot at winning bullet. Clearly Danya receives more benefit from bullet than Magnus does. Obviously Magnus is overall going to win at bullet as well once enough games are played. The point is, when you add qualifiers to the question of "best" there suddenly becomes a wide variety of ways to look at the question.

I think Magnus is missing practice in 1+0. He plays/played it less than Hikaru and Alireza. I really think he would be no. 1 if he practised it for a while. But currently Hikaru and Alireza are better I believe. It's hard to judge, but to me Alireza might be bit better despite the fact he lost this match. I think Alireza also lost bit of his sharpness as he basically dissapeared from chess scene for like a year with some exceptions. But before his fashion design studies he was beating Hikaru pretty regularly. It was not easy or with some big margin, but Alireza usually came on top.
