This is actually why I think Crazy Diamond is probably the best healer. If we use the spaghetti as an example (probably the best example actually) he uses restoration on it by turning the noodles and sauce back into their original forms, indicating that it can revert chemical changes like what was used to make the sauce (turning it back into tomatoes, herbs and oil) or changing the physical properties of the spaghetti back to into an uncooked form by reverting the process of boiling used to cook it.

+James Evans Indeed, Josuke can actually heal someone who is suffering even severe poisoning (say, from radiation), while Giorno would only be able to heal the damage caused, not the source of the infection/poisoning itself, meaning that if a person had a life-threatening disease, Gold Experience wouldn't be very useful, while Crazy Diamond is just an ora away from getting better. Also, we never see Josuke actually do this, but Crazy Diamond actually might be able to replace 100% missing limbs and pieces by using other stuff, seeing how he successfully fused Angelo with a rock and somehow made that work and not straight up kill him. If we extrapolate this ability a little, Josuke might be able to give someone an instantaneous fully functional stone hand (or some other material) that works just like the original except for being made out of a different material or a weird mix of flesh and said material.

Not as much as you'd expect. Having a buff awesome dude as your healer goes back to Dungeons and Dragons, which was hugely influential on early otaku culture. Stereotypical Cleric in the seventies/eighties was a dude. You see the impact of that in every major JRPG franchise (Final Fantasy White Mage, Dragon Quest Priests, Fire Emblem Priests). The best and most famous healer in Japanese media, Black Jack, is also a badass dude. Japanese stuff with a female healer tends to be stuff where almost all characters are already female. The only series that stand out to me as an exception are Pokemon with the running Nurse Joy gag and the Rance series which has lots of dudes but the healers are almost all dudettes.

Crazy Diamond can't do that and I'm not sure how Golden Experience would achieve creating a part of the brain without fucking up the rest of the brain.

Pearl jam's limitations are far greater than CD's. He has to make the food which takes the amount of time to make the dish and it can only really fix body issues that accure naturally/semi naturally. It's not gonna heal bullet wounds or a missing arm

In the scene where Red Hot Chili Pepper sucks Okayasu into the power lines below Morioh, Josuke uses his healing in the opposite way he uses it on Kira. Rather than returning Okayasu's hand to his body, he returns his body to his hand, thus sucking him out of the power line. Only Josuke can pull off saves like that

It's highly likely that, if Okuyasu swiped somebody's torso apart, it would come together and thus make Gold Experience useless at healing them. Secondly, Crazy Diamond easily beats Purple Haze by reversing it's effects on the body. If he can fix Jotaro and those civilians after what the rats did to them and Hayato after exploading, I'm pretty sure he can fix the virus by seperating it from the body and restoring the body to it's original state. Not working against Cream isn't that big of a deal. It's one stand ffs. Who cares?

Gold Experience has to use something to replace your broken parts and it hurts and takes time to do so. Overall definitely the more powerful stand but definitely not the best healer. Like damn, the only negative effect is that Josuke can't heal himself but for others it is the better healer stand always.

Thats not how he is judging things here. Lets say the group gets into a massive fight where the numbers are even. Josuke gets killer queened in the leg or something and becomes immobile. Now the healer is out, he cant heal himself, so the main puncher is out of the game. And when his range is also to short, he isn't as effective as GE in a fight. If GioGio is taken down in a fight, he can heal himself back up, and keep going, but Josuke is down for the count. (granted, I would give Josuke a higher durability rating than GioGio, but when was y=1.5x overtake y=1x + 5? It will eventually have more use.)

I think the real reason araki decided to not let CD heal josuke would be because no fight would have any stakes. I mean josuke healed hayato MIDWAY through being blown up by killer queen, which literally erase's you. Reasons why i think Crazy Diamond is a better healer than the rest: -If any of your organs gets severely injured you can just heal it with a punch, no matter the complicity of the injury. In golden's experience case: It can make a new organ of course but the problem would be removing the old organ and putting the new created one inside the person. -Maybe it can even revert tumors into normal cells and cure any cancer -To come to a situation where one of your body parts gets literally erased out of existence you would have to encounter a stand like za hando, killer queen or cream, its harder than you think to completely destroy matter, therefore this situation is very rare because many stands cannot do this proving crazy diamond to still win in this aspect most of the time. -All that this stand needs to be able to heal is the smallest body part (SPOILER: like when hayato's body is almost entirely destroyed) and it will heal/fix it entirely very fast.

Additional notes about the limitations of Gold Experience: Giorno needs his hands to use the stand's ability, so him losing his hands would make him useless as a healer, whereas Josuke for example would still function in that role. Also, Giorno is dependent on outside materials for his healing. Non-living materials at that. In a completely sandy desert, for example, he'd be all out of options. And whereas Crazy D can still heal someone in their dying moment, basically countering instantly lethal damage (seen with Hayato getting blown up), while Gold Experience would not be fast enough to do the same. We ALSO have not (as far as I can remember) seen GE replace large pieces, but only small ones, when as mentioned above, Crazy D has fixed an entire body being blown to bits. This one's more just speculation on the limitations though.

To me Crazy Diamond is the better healier for more than just the fact that it was the first. The real reason I think it's the best is because of how immediate, seamless, and accurate it is. Yeah GE can heal the user and that's a big deal but compared to CD it's way sloppier. I'm thinking of Hayato here. So what if a stand could remove wounds and store them for later use? Here are a few ways that a stand could do it: 1) turning wounds into 2D images- the stand would resemble a scrapbook and the user would peel the wounds off of their patient's body and then stick them inside the book or onto surfaces, they would transfer onto anyone who touches them on the spot where they came into contact with the 2D wound 2) turning wounds into bullets- the stand would resemble a belt-fed machine gun and would remove wounds by "unshooting" the patient. The wounds would be stored as bullets in the belt and could be reused by being fired. The bullets would not directly damage the target but would instead apply their stored wound at their site of impact. 3) turning wounds into light- the stand would be a generic punchy ghost which would have the ability to turn wounds into rays of light and project them away or onto other living things. The user could intentionally injure themself and use their stand to project the injuries onto an enemy. This one would have no means of storing wounds.

Why would I choose Crazy Diamond over Gold Experience? Considering the battles and severity of the injuries in JJBA, timing is everything. Gold Experience is a bit too slow.

but in general ge is better in nearly everyway. It can do most anything crazy diamond can do while healing the user, cure diseases as seen when giorno cured himself of purple haze's virus, create protective lifeforms and more. It hurts more but thats about it. GE isn't eve that slow. Goirno healed himself against baby face in just a few seconds. Its still insanley quick given the results

can he make the antibodies for other people? i thought the only reason he lived through that was because he made that snake or whatever that made the antibodies necessary for him to combat the virus im not sure how that works for different people but i do know Giorno is legit the only person who is immune to the virus at this point i havent read part 5 in a long time tho so im not gonna say your wrong or anything tho

In the video it mentioned that when Giorno restores others, the process is slow and is painful to the recipient of the healing. The question is whether you want a slow process where you need pieces or a quick restoration if something is left.

yeah i know how Giorno heals others i was more kinda questioning the whole purple haze virus like since Giorno made the snake with the antibodies necessary to counter the virus for himself can he do that to other people as well? if so he could theoretically cure some diseases and more importantly makes his Passione members completely immune to Fugo's Stand the only problem with it is its still slow and incredibly painful where as Crazy Diamond can simply "revert" or heal them back to its normal state with no problems whatsoever

Crazy diamond is limitless but there are some downsides Gold experience is also somewhat limitless Hot pants has limits I don't know about foo fighters From all of them crazy diamond is the best to fix anything and everything but the fact that it brings back the body part is somewhat of a downside and gold experience can just create a new body part

Well one thing you forgot to mention is that gold experience is limited to flesh wounds stuff like stab and bullet wounds. And if someone were to have a broken arm for example cd would be able to fix it while ge could not.

The combination of Crazy Diamond and Golden Experience would be a godly healer. Doesn't matter if bodyparts are straight up missing (Crazy Diamond can't restore things that are missing), Golden Experience can just turn other objects into those missing parts and Crazy Diamond can stitch the wounded person up causing less pain than Golden Experience.
