Very tough! Hard to choose between these different versions. As you said, it's really up to you and the different interpretations. My first reaction would be to say the first Tobey Spidy movie as it was my first interaction with Spiderman and I was at a prime age to enjoy it.

MCU Ned is actually an amalgamation of two comic characters. He’s named after an early Spider-Man supporting character named Ned Leeds, who was manipulated by the Hobgoblin and became a proxy Hobgoblin himself. Everything else, his physical appearance, characterization, personality is based on the Miles Morales Ultimate Universe supporting character Ganke Lee. Another detail, the mentor/mentee relation with Tony is comic accurate. In the early 2000’s the “Breakout” story arc saw the impromptu formation of the New Avengers. Spider-Man was part of the new team, and was taken under Tony’s wing. Tony moved Peter and his entire family into Avengers tower and offered them protection. He provided Peter with resources and an income. Then, after House of M was sorted out, we headed into the Civil War arc. During this time, Peter had been mentored by Tony for a while at this point. So, he sided with Tony on the SHRA. Tony continued to guide and teach Peter, they worked in the lab together, developed tech, collaborated on Prison 42 the superhuman penitentiary in the Negative Zone, and Tony is so invested in Peter that he takes on the pet project of developing the Iron Spider armor as a gift. This eventually leads to Peter revealing his identity based on Tony’s suggestion and assurances. Obviously this goes badly. But, this whole relationship is definitely precedented. It actually makes sense they took this early path with the MCU seeing as how Peter’s doorway into the MCU was the Civil War conflict. Furthermore, it works a bit better here than in the comics, where as comic book Peter is in his mid twenties during Civil War, the MCU offers a 15 year old, brash and naive Peter. One who is easily influenced, swayed by Tony’s genius, wealth, and massive fame. It’s very convincing that this young brilliant student who has only been imbued with powers for six months would be swept up in Tony’s world. He would believe in his agenda, Iron Man, a founding Avenger, and genius inspiring intellectual must be right. When a boy with very little in the way of father figures is given one in the form of a literal idol, a legendary hero and world renowned futurist, one who then offers access to limitless bleeding edge resources, and opens a door to a surreal and unimaginable world full of gods, magic, monsters, and glory; it’s totally tracks that Peter would fall right in line. But he slowly realizes there is far more to the conflict and world then he thought. He learns humility, and other valuable lessons, suffers consequences for his arrogance, and his eagerness leads to being overwhelmed. He is slightly humbled, he takes a step back and tries to slow things down, attempting to find balance and and take his time learning who Peter Parker is before committing to Spider-Man. After some time, fate intervenes and a global conflict arises. A slightly more seasoned Peter rises to the occasion and does his duty, exhibits selflessness, and teamwork and pays the ultimate price. He then returns, having suffered trauma and loss, and missing years of his life, he is a Spider-Man that has been further honed by experience. He returns to his endeavor to find balance, but his duty and sense of obligation follows him. This time, still raw from loss and wracked with grief he naively puts his trust in the wrong person. He prevails, but the damage done and another lesson is learned. He grows in power and wisdom and learns about standing on his own, and the weight of his decisions. But, his misplaced trust is betrayed a final time, and he begins his most important lesson. Still struggling to obtain balance, living a divided and risky lifestyle full of dangerous complexity, desperation leads to a selfish choice shrouded in selflessness. The consequences rain down upon him from all directions. But, despite’s his mistakes, the honorable man inside tries to negotiates his foes with mercy and grace. Heartache and loss strike Peter again when he discovers some people do not desire redemption, and his final teaching is soberingly thrust upon him. His attempts at having best of both worlds were vain and selfish and only ever put undeserving lives in harm’s way. It’s all led to this, a choice, but it’s not choice at all. A life as Peter cannot be had, because his sense of duty and guilt compels him. So he choses the Spider. But, in order to serve as the Spider in good conscience, he must truly stand alone and be his own man. For not only does he risk the lives of those he loves by loving them, but they also become his most debilitating vulnerabilities. To be the hero people need, to be true to himself, and to atone for the people he’s failed and the pain he’s caused he must close the book on Peter Parker. So he does, and for the first time after six movies, we’re introduced to Spider-Man, truly.

Tobey's movies is my favorite spiderman movie, partly cause of nostalgia but I think it also really captures the struggles what spiderman goes through. Andrew's went through so much pain but at the same time, it felt like an alternate reality? And although I love toms, someone pointed out that you can't have spiderman without Uncle Ben and that just lives in my head rent free.

You know I always thought it would be interesting if Harry in Spiderman 3 faked his amnesia, but after realising he can't beat Spiderman by himself he enlists another villains help, and the reveal of the movie is to Peter that he faked his amnesia, in my alternate reality I guess he would manipulate Sandman by paying him off because of his sick daughter, so you entirely get rid of Venom but you can still have the Bully Maguire stuff, because it's showing the downfall of Spiderman but he destroys it without creating Venom after he hits MJ in that bar. This is just fanfic of course but one that would make for a more interesting Harry/Goblin.

I would say it depends on what part of spidey you look at right? For example Tobey had the perfect pefer Parker, Andrew had the perfect science based one. We saw him build his webshooters and do lab stuff. Tobey also worked in a lab but we only really see him as an assistant in 2 and in school. Andrew actually built alot of stuff. Tom in my opinion has the best spiderman as far as personality but his Pete is a little to loner and less geek. Plus toms doesn't build any part of his suit but mainly just uses Tony's tech even in his second film he uses Tony's tech to design his new suit. Each iteration has a great piece that the others didn't. If I had to say favorite it would be tom but Tobey a close second

There are a lot of similarities between Tony Stark and Uncle Ben in my opinion.

I’d say they’re all good in their unique ways, I think Tom’s Spiderman has had some of the best Villains but they haven’t explored the whole Uncle Ben story as of now which is a key aspect of how Peter becomes a hero. Andrew’s Spider-Man has probably had one of the most emotional deaths in a superhero movie, and then Tobey’s Spider-Man was the most accurate to Peter Parker from the comics.

Tom sadly at number 4. Great reboot although I was disappointed that Andrew had to be replace. And Tom is only 4th because of the fact that we haven’t really see what he can do yet. Tobey Maguire Spider-Man is my favorite and that’s probably because he was the Spider-Man I grew up with , watched and looked up to as a kid. But I do like Tom Holland Spider-Man cause I just graduated last year from high school and I look at him more as someone that could be me or a friend mine not my hero. Also it’s crazy to think that this Spider-Man will be someone’s else’s Spider-Man. Like when I think Spider-Man I think Tobey but now for a whole new generation when they think Spider-Man they will think Tom. But I love all the Spider-Men and all the movies even amazing Spider-Man 2, also the game on ps4/5 are great. I probably rank them Tobey, Tom, and Andrew. Love your guys stuff.
