might be a bit different now, i know krieger is still really fast but as probably slowed a bit because when she clocked her top speed it was at the 2015 world cup. as others have pointed out press is really fast, however im not sure if the data is with her running with the ball or without becuase obviously slower with the ball on the end of your foot

Those top few around 34.5km/h are actually really impressive numbers on grass. Female 100m sprinters - completely fresh, wearing specialized spikes, on synthetic tracks - will hit 37-39km/h. They're closer to women's track sprinter speeds than the male players are to their male sprinter counterparts (37.5km/h vs 42-45km/h)

I hear what you're saying. 100m sprinters are starting from a stopped position and it takes them 30m or so to hit top speed. Here are the numbers for the top sprinters in the 100m: 1. Florence Griffith-Joyner 10.49 (34.3 km/h) 2. Carmelita Jeter 10.64 (33.83 km/h) 3. Marion Jones 10.65 (33.80 km/h) 4. (Tied) Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce 10.70 (33.6 km/h) 4. (Tied) Elaine Thompson 10.70 (33.6 km/h) Of course, soccer players can hit close to top speed after playing for 75 or 80 minutes, too.

Main problem with Williams is that she is not a great finisher. She often misses at the latest second (at the national level). Once she works on her finish, she will be extremely lethal, but for now she makes many incredible runs that turn into a big nothing...

Haydee Beltran, I have to agree with the Bris comment, Alex Morgan is no slouch but she also isn't even the fastest in the USWNT, (certainly not faster than Press). For you to believe such a statement I'd have to question how much women's football you actually watch. Lisa Divina I do get because I've seen her destroy opponents with her pace (and she a great player as well) but she'd come unstuck if she every had to go stride for stride with Ludmilla DaSilva. As for Crystal Dunn I'm inclined to think that she's super quick over the first 25 yards, much like Raheem sterling. They are both quick off the mark, which for a footballer is a major advantage, and they both use their low centre of gravity to great effect (to protect the ball or hustle opponents off the ball). And when you consider that football is mostly about short rapid sprints, the first 25 yards are the most important (often where the real damage is done), important enough to give quicker players over 50 or 60 yards all sorts of problems. But What makes me say that Ludmilla DaSilva is the fast of all is that she's quick off the mark and she's' even quicker than Crystal Dunn over the first 25 yards, and will beat anyone over a longer sprint run (seriously she's that quick).
