Since only Mohg and Morgott use bloodflame, I suspect the Formless Mother is tied to them specifically rather than Omen generally. Mohg doesn't even use the mud colored wraith flames associated Omen. Would this be similar to the Scarlet Rot afflicting Malenia?

Of course souls games have references to berserk but you need to stop acting like every single detail is copied from the manga. Elden Ring was NOT created by GRRM. Miyazaki stated that GRRM only created some of the main lore points based on FromSoft direction and FromSoft itself created much of the rest. FM being a nod to Slan is kind of weird, I would say it's more a nod to Eldritch.

I assumed Mohg and Morgott were children of Marika and Radagon, as "their" children have the "M" initial and all have something messed-up - like stunted growth, rot, being bodiless, etc. Omen-hood seems similar, and all Godfrey's children I was previously aware of share the "G" initial. The "R" initials being Radago-rika's and Rennala's kids.

That is already disproven with the main game itself. I'm pretty sure it's already stated in-game that Malenia and Miquella are the children of Marika and Radagon. However, when Marika and Radagon married, Godfrey was already banished from the lands between. However, when Godfrey returns, he holds Margott's corpse and says it's been a long time. The first thing to mention is HOW he holds his corpse. And the second is that he can't really know a person that was convinced after he already was banished. Besides, if you it makes sense if you look at the numbers. 3 Child's for Marika/Godfrey, Godwyn, Morgott, Mogh. 3 Child's for Radagon and Rennala, Ranni, Radahn and Rykard. Twins for Marika/Radagon, Miquella and Malenia

@19Sephirot93 Why did Mohg and Morgott end up as Omens? It's also implied that many of the Omens in the Shunning Grounds are descended from royalty. My understanding (had been) that Marika had been trying to find viable replacements to free herself. I'd thought she'd tried first to wed the strongest male Warrior, which worked for Godwyn, but everyone else sucked (Godrick, Godfroy). Then she went with the strongest female magic user of another clan, which worked fairly well, but not perfectly. And then said "fuck it, I'll do it myself" which got the Twins who were quite strong, but "genetically" mutated. Same with subsequent attempts, where Mohg and Morgott were the closest. Some of this assumed G->G, R->R, and M->M as Martin's naming scheme.

Plus if Morgott and Mohg were Marika and Radagon's sons they would be way younger then they are and also Godfrey would have no idea who they were since he'd be long gone before they were born but clearly holds Morgott, his own son with affection and familiarity in the main game.
