This hurts me to my soul to say but I must be truthful...Honestly all of the arm tackling is the real problem, they are acting like they are scared to hit something and quite frankly it was a DISGRACE to all of the steeler greats and for the love of god, idk what happened to the defense, it has been soft ever since dick lebeau left, they are giving up yards like water falling off a cliff, 3rd and long used to be a 90%chance they were punting on 4th down.... now its 50 50 and 4th down conversion rate is soo bad its paper bag worthy bottom line they need to act like they got a pair stop the arm tackling and HIT SOMETHING!!!!

Where is this coming from that there's only one player who's a problem? Joey Porter Jr. is getting beat and he's getting a million penalties. Cam Sutton is terrible. James Pierre is terrible. Beanie Bishop hasn't looked good since those interceptions. Minkah isn't playing like himself. There's a whole team of people who aren't performing to where they should.

Minkah is fine he’s playing high safety… never throw near high safety and he stops big plays from scoring. Jpj is just a means to a cause. Refs are cracking down on hands for dbs just look at the lions corners. Pierre and Sutton do suck I agree beanie just needs to put hands on the receiver at the beginning of the route

The fact that Kahn and Tomlin did N O T H I N G this offseason to address WR and failed at addressing CBs is unacceptable. Jackson has been okay, but always hurt. JPJ regressed BIG TIME (maybe bc they didn’t bring Pat P back as a mentor role. No coincidence that JPJ looked elite until the second a seasoned, future HOF CB is gone, then he’s trash). Could have kept him in Sutton’s role, with Beanie being the primary Slot/Nickel back and Pierre on ST, and Pat P playing some relief at nickel. He played VERY well as emergency safety last year. Could have had packages with Pat P back deep at FS with Minkah in the box lurking. But no. Let’s go for the trash, burnt toast wife beater

@@Helden_Daddywe traded for a starting CB who has been very solid compared to other CBs this year, we added Elliott who looks like a top 10 safety in the league. We picked up beanie, a starter, who is developing and never was supposed to be a superstar he was undrafted so a huge pick up for the team. We signed Sutton back because he knows the system and at one point was a top player in the league. We drafted a WR earlier in the draft it isnt their fault he has been hurt. They tried and couldnt get a deal done for a potential top 5 receiver in the league. Do you think no other teams want good players? Do you think the Steelers just deserve every good players in the league on their roster? There is a salary cap for a reason. Players underperforming could be a coaching issue yes, and they should have done more for WR depth. Williams isnt getting play not sure why. Everyone loved Kahn for holding out and getting steals. One didnt work out and waiting lost out on other WR options. You cant have the best of both worlds so you have to pick one.

@@mrnst7 for corners, I said they FAILED at addressing the position. Elliot is a safety and a fantastic signing. Beanie was undrafted and impressed by earning a roster and starting spot at nickel. That’s lucky. They didn’t draft him or go after him. He just fell in their lap and worked out. The trade for Jackson was a net positive, but he’s been very hurt and not a very good CB2. Yes he’s been in the right place for some lucky INTs. But he’s getting burnt CONSISTENTLY. Signing Sutton was a decent move, but you automatically were missing him for his suspension. And to say he was a “top player in the league” is just laughably wrong. Just because the Lions overpaid for him doesn’t make him a “top player”. He wasn’t amazing his last stint here, he was just the best we had and we couldn’t afford to over pay him. He’s back and has regressed from slightly above average to absolute dog crap. We drafted 1 rookie to join a super deflated WR room. And sure, a few big name trades didn’t work out for a big time WR1. But they didn’t even TRY to get a good WR2. Hopkins was there and would have been STELLAR. But no looks at FA guys, no early trades for one in the offseason. Shoot for the moon, miss without a backup plan, and settle on a WR3/4 who is never even used. I never said we “deserved every top players”. But when we went into the year with our biggest missing pieces being a WR and then trading AWAY a starting WR and doing NOTHING to replace him is moronic and it sunk any chance this struggling offense had at being successful down the stretch.

Minkah has had a few bad plays in games while the entire DB room is in shambles. If you mean no turnovers? Blame Austin and Tomlin for deciding to take him out of every play putting him 30 yards off the ball to prevent a 1-2 times a game deep shot. They are terrified of their garbage, embarrassment to football CBs from getting toasted. Plays in the box 2 games without Elliot in and gets his first pick in 2 calendar years. But let’s keep him 30 yards off the ball while we get picked apart in short/medium routes. Austin is the worst DC in football bc he’s a mouthpiece for Tomlin…..who SUCKS at calling a defense.

On another play if the coach called a "man zone " but instead of you getting your man you ran a zone like you're playing Inside Linebacker but you're a Corner and your man ran pass you for a touchdown...is that a coaching thing or a YOU thing? Any defense will struggle when 3/4 of your secondary are out with injury. We had no Elliott, no JPJ, and no Donte Jackson. Makes sense communication would be lacking. When healthy this defense is elite

What are you talking about over there? For real. The whole dang team is slacking. Everyone, and I mean everyone, is out there playing like they have no heart. No fire, no desire to win. They give up when they get punched in the nose. They don't stand up to good teams. And there's blame to go around everywhere. The offense, the most expensive defense in the league that can't seem to stop a high school jr varsity team. The coaching, MikeTomlin, not making adjustments, Arthur Smith banging his head against a wall when it comes to that stale offense, Terryl Austin for that atrocious defense. All the players as a whole on offense. Every single week for the past 3 games someone has fumbled the ball when it matters the most. Russell Wilson out there playing hero ball, throwing the ball to opposing defenses. It's the whole damn team. Everyone is to blame. The only bright spot on offense is Jalen Warren. Why oh why is Connor haeyward on this team? Because he's cams brother? He contributes absolutely nothing to this team, whether it be on offense or on special teams. This team needs to be thrown in the trash.

Coaching is still the problem. Has been for years. I don't care if all the players LOVE Tomlin - there's obviously no one pushing these guys past the level they're at. YES, the players need be responsible for their own improvements. But, this team hasn't been considered "elite" for YEARS. You don't know if you haven't been a GEEKED OUT NFL/Steelers fan for decades, how this team was always on the top 5 list for DOMINANT TEAMS, ELITE TEAMS, TEAMS TO BEAT. They've barely been a sidenote, other than "no losing seasons". That's not the damn goal. CHAMPIONSHIPS are the goal.
