On this Idea, you guys could make a series out of training each amiibo for the ultimate tournament. Nice quick series with a clear goal and a decent bit of content. With more modded characters you could have seasons of modded amiibo tournaments...

The ai in this game doesn't learn like you think they do. The "learning" is very simplistic and wouldn't change anything about the characters recovery problems or combos. I believe if they kill with a move, they're more likely to use that move. They don't remember combos or anything that would help prevent the characters from sding

@@JEDIAHDIED I already tried that once. It did not help at all. Quite the opposite, they became worse as they realized spaming one move works against another amiibo and they didn't even tried to shield or dodge anything.

In 10 years Smash Ultimate modding is going to be insane. Looking at how far Brawl and Sm4sh have come, and then across the way in Mario and Pokemon modding.

Sm4sh didn’t do much as far as modding is concerned….at least throughout its lifespan (new stages and overhualed mechanics and speed at most) Now Smash 64 and Melee on the other hand

Who would have guessed that the least custom character that the CPU is gonna have much easier time adapting to would have won? Seriously, though- it’s a shame to see other much higher quality characters (sandbag, Goku) go out so early, and for a Ganon clone to win the whole thing.

Unfortunately, but somewhat predictably, the character who is most similar to an existing Smash fighter won in the end. Of course, it helps that CPUs have a poor punish games so powerful hits are good and poor recovery/mobility is hardly a drawback (as long as the CPU knows how to use it). In terms of how good I think the characters are, here's my ranking: Alucard = Sandbag > Kamek > Silver > the other 4

I wish Alucard was actually a playable character in smash. I wonder if they wanted to but couldn't so they made a clone instead. Zero would have been interesting, too. Though, I think X should be a character instead, he's so underutilized in fighting games, while Zero is in a ton.

Either one works for running mods, whiling emulators are usually better at making mods But whatever you do, DO NOT USE CUSTOM MOVESETS ONLINE (unless you find somebody that also has the custom moveset, but that’s besides the point)

Earlier 2 years ago, it used to be the former But nowadays it is the latter (Terry, Ryu, Mewtwo, Richter, Dr. Mario, Ness, Ganondorf, etc. were used as bases and for some…..you can clearly tell)
