Black American here been on Dave since Blackbox and I’m proud of where he’s come as an artist at the young age of 21! It’s only up from here. Last point and most important thing I have to say though the reason why I hate reading the comment sections on places is because everyone always brings their generalizations of one another and lays it out there. Diaspora and continental Africans actually hold a conversation with one another. We have the ability to have constructive discourse where we can come to an understanding with one another instead of constantly being at each other’s necks. Love all of y’all stay up ✊🏾

Context- they guy he was talking about (jack) was a white man brought up in a pretty well off family that gave his life on trying to rehabilitate ex prisoners and he was stabbed to death on london bridge by a ex prisoner and the grenfell victims he talks about was a tower of government accommodation where mostly black people and immigrants lived that burned down a couple of years ago and it burned because of government taking short cuts by having cheap cladding that was extremely flammable these people have not been rehoused and have received minimal support

This is a very deep song and relates to Africans on the continent and in the Diaspora. Let us see what the ADOS American Descendants of Slaves crew who have been dismissing Black people who are not American have to say. I am sure any encounter they have leads to being guilty before being innocent and they can relate to this song. It speaks to the Black experience wherever you are especially if in the Diaspora.

for those who don't know...the Windrush Generation are black Caribbean/Jamaicans who were offered a chance to live in the UK as a form of apology of the years of colonization. Yet when they arrived in the UK they were faced with racism by white UK. They were never accepted and never felt part of being British. It is a 360 degree slavery. The part about Meghan is that white UK never treated Meghan with the same respect they gave Kate who is white.
