I love raye and absolutely loved what she did after she split from polydor her old record label, when she finally got away from them and went independent she set up a life size art work of her first debut album called my 21st century blues in front of the polydor building it was an epic up yours to them 😂❤

Raye initially wrote for other artists. For Beyonce Rihanna John Legend & more. The record company treated her badly not giving her a contract as an artist in her own right. They soon changed their mind. I think she had 3 albums so far but please don’t quote me. She’s amazing. British. 🇬🇧 and so proud of an another amazing artist to fly the flag all over the world. Just to add I was wrong she’s actually an independent artist x

UK London Giiirl!. She has also wrote lyrics for some of the biggest 'A' list american legends. I agree, with the Amy Comment. When I first heard her I thought immediately of Amy (just in the similarities of their voices, tone and lyrical tones. But we must also RAYE is completely different in all other aspects.m I just hope that the American market can relate to this huge talent (cos her songs are not all about sugar,spice and all things nice!) and she breaks the US, has she obviously should and Adele did. This woman was born to perform in front of an orchestra, and has the high notes to match one!.

The Royal Albert Hall is in central London. Built by Queen Victoria in honour of her deceased husband Albert (who she was ridiculously close to) in the 1870s. It feels like the kind of place you'd watch Mozart or something. Very fancy, European 18th, 19th century royalty feeling. Also, only seats 5,000 or so people, so it's extremely expensive, close and personal feeling, given the stature of the artists who perform there.

Prices are actually quite reasonable in most cases certainly for the classical concert. But have been only there for other things (Show Of Hands, Camel, Marillion) and in all cases it wasn’t extremely expensive. Also, most seats are quite old and not very comfortable 😎

We’ve known about her for a while. Unfortunately, the US record industry has been gate-keeping for a couple of decades now, so you don’t get to hear of real deals like Raye and Ren. The only reason they’re getting attention now stateside is because they’re independent and social media channels have matured…so there’s nothing the record industry can do to keep them shut out.
