Man, I feel her frustration. My dad was shot and killed in Jan 2020 and they still haven't brought that shit to trial. It's an open and shut case and his killer is out on bond because their family member was a judge in the town I live in for decades. Some bullshit. All you have left to hope for after something like that is justice. When you feel like the authorities don't care it's frustrating.

I’m glad she is given a voice to share her story on platforms. I just pray folks don’t try to exploit this woman or her baby’s story; as her sons name was. This also sheds light on the police system. How they deal with cases regarding our young minority men. They just gave up it seems. Upon listening to Mama Tooka; she explains why. This is why there is so much distrust and lack of respect between the police and people of color. Thank you for sharing Mama Tooka.

I have my bachelors degree in BSECE field of study. Will be working on major in the fall. My husband has been in the military for almost 22 years. All of my kids are for him. We left Chicago to give our kids a better start in life. We live in a beautiful suburban neighborhood. We we're blessed to be able to build our dream home. Our kids went to the best schools. We were always at every single event football, basketball, soccer, dance recitals, cheer practices whatever they had going on if my husband was overseas I had other people to go with me to cheer them on. In our house it's open communication. It felt amazing buying my 18 year daughter her dream car 3 weeks ago. It feels good having money in the bank my 401k looking pretty good. I said all that to say this. We did all we could for our kids & one of them still jumped off the porch as they say. What in hell else could we have done as parents please let me know

I agree, but honestly they were all around that age at the time he was killed. They were all shooting at each other and killing each other, so even though they may be double that age now, they still gonna feel a way to what happened to their own fam/group. I’m not justifying it in any way, but that’s why. He may have done somethin to one of theirs at that time, and that person may have been 15 too, or even younger, its not ok for any of their lives to be taken
