It was on this day 42 years ago that Bob Crane was murdered while he slept in his Scottsdale, AZ apartment. The murderer left no clues and has never been caught (at least not officially). His motive remains a mystery.

Forever a mystery. Had DNA technology been available back then, the case would have been resolved. His friend and his wife are the only suspects in the case.

Makes you wonder why the killer took the tripod with him being caught with that would be a Smoking Gun so yeah I think you got rid of it rather quickly or she

"She" is correct. As big as the male suspect was, he would never have bothered with a tripod. That would've been like taking a sledgehammer to a fly. Berry took the tripod with her and later returned to the scene after she disposed of evidence and changed her clothes.

No doubt that this would have been solved if the cops kept the piece of brain matter found in John Carpenter’s car but it was lost along the way!
@georgfriedrichhandel4390
@georgfriedrichhandel4390 4 жыл бұрын
We don't know for sure if that was brain matter but as the video stated, a recent DNA test done on another sample found in the same car did not match Crane's DNA. Apart from Carpenter's strange behavior, there was nothing to link him to this crime. Even if he was guilty, the state failed to prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Look- an absence of evidence does not exonerate anyone. Just because some dna in one location does not help a prosecutors case, that in no way absolves the accused.

Nor does it indict him. Look to Victoria Berry...she's the one who claims to have walked into Crane's dark apartment and even right up to his bed, all the while telling police she and Crane were just "platonic friends". Sure...do your female platonic friends walk into your bedroom in the middle of the night?

Theres no evidence it was a tripod that he was hit with- they presumed so only because Carpenter was in photography. Open your minds to possibility it was something else. We know what killed him though, his rude temperament, awful behavior even in public. A matter of time before it caught up.
