Waiting 35 minutes for the landlord to arrive is what killed that boy ... When every second counted in saving that boys life there was a police officer DOING NOTHING right on the other side of that door. For the cost of a replacement door that officer allowed that boy to die.

Both Nick Hillary and John Jones had motives and were physically in the same location that the homicide occurred...also both Nick and John had leg injuries but looks like they never investigated Jones even though surveillance footage shows him pulling into his driveway the same time as Garrett is skating home...meaning Jones saw Garrett when pulling into the driveway

Possibly got someone else to do it. I was convinced it was him until, the evidence came out to the contrary. He was seen on at least 4 cameras walking his dog and was only off camera for 1 min. Which... is a little suspicious in itself. It’s almost like over compensation, like “look at me I’m on camera I couldn’t have done it! Why is it that Nick was deemed the crazy jealous ex who couldn’t get over Tandy and not Jones. Jones was placed at the scene of the crime, but DA Rain forgot to turn over that evidence. FOH! Tandy filed complaints against Jones’s harassing her and she was in fear for her life and those of her children. Prior to the murder, Tandy was still texting Nick, inviting him to join her at a club. Jones was a little salty bish who murdered Garett. Think of the night of the murder and how he called his girlfriend to let her know that he would be SPENDING THE NIGHT WITH TANDY to comfort her. Next morning he turns up holding hands with her as she talks to investigators. Are you joking 🙃??? 100% scandalous altogether. The best thing Hilary ever did was opt for a bench trial and skip the jury , whom by the way were comprised at least 2 people who were close friends to The Phillips & DA Rain.

To be truthful I go back and forth about the who killed Garett. There is a possibility that Nick is innocent as the police had tunnel vision and the first interview with him was so bad and inexcusable. I didnt understand why people still focused on Nick till I read through the evidence and the deposition where he gave statements. Nick does lie and some facts do not makes sense about his movements that day. He turned left instead of right out of the parking lot. His ankle was sprained and he had a abrasion on it. The DNA evidence wasnt used in court but in first DNA test, 6 out 15 markers match and 2nd DNA test match 9 out of 15 markers, which doesnt meet the requirement. The third test only can tell the probability of the dna evidence and its 1 to 30 million. The dna evidence is so small that they probably are unable to have another test. Problem is when you look at the case, they dont have any physical evidence that prove beyond a doubt about his involvement. Its correct that he should be pursuing a lawsuit against the police and the court acquitted Nick of the murder charge. I am still unsure whether he killed Garett. I think with the above problem its difficult to reinvestigate Garett case.

Here's a theory. The downstairs neighbours who are Dexter fans killed Garrett. Motive: the kid was a little sh!t, liked to play pranks, could have easily annoyed neighbors. Means: As Dexter fans, they could probably come up with a way to do it without leaving a trace. They also controlled the narrative when he was discovered. They rang the police, they said they heard the door lock, when they could have pulled it shut before the police arrived. While the police were there, they were directly downstairs and could have had tapping the roof with a broom to mimic someone moving around up stairs. Their alibi wasn't checked. Did they actually watch Dexter. Was it on tv that night?

1. Nick and Garrett are at odds, so much so, that Garrett's mom tells Nick she must end the relationship for this reason. 2. Police ask family who had an issue with Garrett, only one name comes up, Nick. 3. Nick goes to the highschool to watch a soccer game but does not park where he can see the field. 4. Nick claims to be waiting for the rain to break before going to the soccer field, yet only waits 6 minutes before leaving. 5. Nick just happens to leave exactly after Garrett passes him in the parking lot. 6. Nick claims to have gone home yet does not go right towards his house, but left following Garrett, towards the murder scene. 7. Nick and his lawyer contradict each other as to his reason for turning left. 8. Nick claims to be at home with his daughter discussing what they will have for dinner while the murder is taking place. However over an hour later his daughter texts him, "what's for dinner?" 9. The killer is perceived to be injured from the 20 foot jumped escape from Garret's house. The police believe Nick has a limp to his right leg. Nick is asked to reveal his right ankle and low and behold the police accurately predict an injury to his right ankle. A scrape and swelling. 10. Nick claims the injury is do to knocking his ankle on a piece of furniture, yet he can not name the piece of furniture. 11. Nick refuses to cooperate early in the police interview when the police are asking him basic questions that could have cleared him if he were innocent. 12. Nick smokes cigarettes at the police station and then puts the butts down a sink, presumably to deny the police DNA to test. 13. Nick claims the only reason he is targeted is due to his race. No other factors at play. 14. Nick buddies up with a Hollywood producer, and the next thing you know HBO supplies a propaganda piece that tells half the story.

@@patriciaR004 I asked you if Nick ever figured out what piece of furniture he injured in ankle on!!! One of the numerous lies from Day 1 with him. Also, if you looked at the crime scene pics, you might have noticed the 2nd floor window was directly over a small protruding landing (most likely storage or basement entrance) which was approx 6ft jump from the window, then another 6ft to the ground. And most of the area around the protruding landing was mostly grass. In either case, wasn't Nick lauded for this athleticism? You NEED to look at the evidence.

Please be honest !! Nick Hillary's police interaction was flawed ... he should have never agreed to go down to the police station to answer questions in the first place. Please do not say he is a blueprint since he made the grave error of cooperating IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER. Police officer talking to a rich white man, "I'd like you to come down to the station and answer some questions." Rich white man replies, "Officer I would love to assist you in any way I can. I will give you the name of my attorney and you can present any questions you have TO them and you will receive all my answers THROUGH them." Talking to a police officer about the law is like talking to an 11 year old about sex ... they have both learned everything they know on the school playground!!!
