Awesome drones! I really liked the part at 4:50 when the filter opens. Thank you for mentioning the Valhalla reverb in the description. I often think the sounds are unprocessed when the only thing you see is the synth.

It's not just volca, fx also plays quite important role here. However, sequencer freeze with sync is quite nice.

Nicely done! I was always a fan of that Volca! Sounds so good! I never ended up getting one though. Went a different route. Love it for the sci-fi cinematic sounding stuff like this! Wonderful!

really kinda torn between this, the sample 2, or the modular....

For me it's the easy playability that wins. Sample is great (I had it) but you have to feed it samples. Modular I don't know but it seems a bit more difficult to master.

I've not used the Sample or Modular, but can confirm that the Keys punches well above it's weight. However, when it came out (when I bought it) it was one of the 1st of a new wave of mini, budget synths, now the market is flooded with them. That said, newer synths with tons more features may still struggle to compete with all that sweet analogue heft for under 150 bucks.

@@jimlampshady yes, there are plenty of new great synths around . I recently bought a couple of them , Behringer and Roland. But the analog grit of the keys is hard to beat, even with all it's limitations.

i highly recommend to never buy the volca modular. not ever.
