I'm an old man and I live on a boat. Currently, I'm in the Bahamas watching all the news about the snow and cold weather y'all are having. Burrr! I would like to learn more about your Chicken operation. How many chickens do you have, and how many eggs do they produce. What does it cost to feed your chickens and after their production drops, do you sell them or, well, you know, eat (some) of them and process then sell the rest? What do you feed them and also, very important (I think), what do you do with their droppings? Oh, and by the way, I also enjoy watching your channel. When things go wrong on the boat, which happens A LOT(!!!), watching your channel is like eating comfort food. So, I guess that makes this channel a Comfort Channel! Cheers!

You need to go back and watch all the videos! 😂 He’s answered all of these. I know they make their own feed, yes they butcher chickens , yes they grow them from chicks they buy, when production goes down they replace and I I heard right 18 dozen a day?

After 2 years they bring in new pullets because after 2 years a chicken production goes down hill.They send those off to sell. The little chicks they get, those are raised as meat birds. They are a different type of chicken. I think they just do those mostly for their own family. They grind their own chicken feed which brings their feed cost down.

Anyone, grow Santa Claus melons. A delicious fruit that even lasts a long time on the counter when picked. You can also sell those seeds to others. I actually bought three Santa Claus melons at the store for 98 cents each. They weigh 5 to 7 lbs. I gave my sister one and she went right over to the store and got a few herself. The first one rang up like $6.02. She told them that they were 98 cents. The manager walked back to the bin and came back and said "That is 98 cents per pound". She went back to look and he had just written "lb" on it. She came back up and told them that was not fair and for them to put all her groceries away. I saved all my seeds and have been growing them ever since.

We had our corn cracked before feeding it to our 400 to 500 head of feed log cattle,,and then dad would always run a few head of hogs with the feed lot cattle so to clean up the un digestive corn found in the cow pies,,after cracking the corn,that problem cleared up and the cattle then could digestively easier and break the cracked corn faster with more weight gain from a lesser amount of corn,, the clean up crews of hogs that were wandering around the feedlot waiting for something to drop down ,were goin hungry after that,,as there was no full kerals of corn remaining and left un digested and passed out sht in the cow pies anymore ck into that. Your grinder might be able to do it and you could bulk store the cracked corn in a bin

The LSU Ag Research station had a cultivar Fig tree cross Theibold Fig tree (named after one of their more successful QUARTERBACKS!) and then there is a miscellaneous fig tree at the research station that someone found a dead cat near, and therefore the Fig Tree cultivar got named "Dead Cat 1" which, after fifty years, is STILL in production. There is even a fig tree called "The Godfather Fig" and if you remember Marlon Brandon being filmed in the God Father movie, and he puts the orange rind in his mouth and runs after his grandson scaring him (when he has a heart attack in the movie) he is running through fig tree branches. People took cuttings of the fig tree. Therefore, there is NOW a "Godfather Fig Tree" where cuttings were taken and sold from that tree. Crazy world we live in... Dead Cat Fig trees and Godfather Fig trees.

Hi Veggie Boys, I would like to know what kind of tomato is best for making tomato sauce. for pasta, pizza etc.
@cindymoore909610 күн бұрын
Roma / paste style tomatoes are generally considered best for sauces. They have more meat, and less seeds & liquid, so they don’t take as long to thicken up as other types of tomatoes.
