Most of us do not know our beginning. I'm speaking for myself. I do not remember my birth. I'm not sure we know our end. We may see it coming, but lights out... what can we know in that moment? As a believer, our next consciousness is written to be with Him. Isn't that the essence of eternity, in the sense of no beginning and no end? We see other's come into the world, and we see others go out. But we only experience eternity.

For the Christian, eternal life has already begun. :)

I don't think understanding the fullness of the true nature of God is possible through the Bible. Too many different interpretations are possible. I think that we can understand some good basic fundamental principles, but in order to know more, we need prophets and revelation. I enjoy watching good people start the conversation. God bless.

That's a thought-provoking comment. Much too deep to explore fully in a comments section. But defiantly worth a good exploration and discussion. Thanks, and God bless.

This is baloney. You're assuming the character depicted in the Bible called Yahweh or El or whatever is real. But you don't know that

I do think I have very good reasons to believe in the God of the Bible. But I understand that not everyone comes to the same conclusion. This argument isn't meant to get us all the way to the God of the Bible. Rather, it argues that a God must exist that is (at minimum) consistent with the God described in the Bible. We need additional arguments to go further. Thanks for the comment.

Who said that the Bible is the only witness of the intelligent designer? Your comment is an emotional one. The belief in God has always existed, even if people understand God in different ways. Science has pushed people away from truth, in fact that is their goal, at least the elites that dominate the fields throughout science. Science doesn't agree with itself most of the time, they just let you think it does. At least a belief in God helps society move forward with a focus on relationships with not just God but other people. A belief in God helps the world be a much better place. The main problem with your comment is that you don't know either...

@@michaelwhipple347 I'm not claiming to know. You are. And you don't know any of this other stuff either; a belief in God has always existed? You don't know that either. All of this stuff is just assertions based on human culture, which seems pretty expansive to us but is actually tiny next to what's really happening. You're just asserting things you don't have any proof of. Which seems to be the whole basis of all religion, frankly.

@@mr.zafner8295 my proof would never satisfy you. I have plenty of proof, but just because you wouldn't believe me doesn't mean I can't know something. I'm not interested in proving anything to you, but you sure are set on attacking people with belief in something different than you. If you were to take the popular religion of humanism, evolution being the basis of the theology, it would take more faith to believe that intelligence came from nothing than to believe an intelligent designer organized everything as we have it now. You have your faith in your beliefs and I have faith in my beliefs... You're not going to convince me otherwise. The only difference is that I respect you for having your beliefs while the same courtesy does not seem to be extended to me and my beliefs from you.

@@michaelwhipple347 Wow. You really will believe anything those people in the pulpit tell you. Tell me, do you actually have a word for people who don't employ faith as a mechanism for learning things or don't trust it? Do you honestly believe that everyone else just pretends things are true like you guys?
