I made a hormone tincture and used everclear 190 proof. So, after 14 days i strained it, pressed it and got it in my tincture bottles. Holy crapola! The everclear is so damn strong! I decided to boil water just before it steeps in a little shot glass then I added my tincture.. suppose to dissolve..right !? It’s still nasty and hot!! What else can I do to make to manageable to swallow? What other alcohol can I use?

Most of us do not know our beginning. I'm speaking for myself. I do not remember my birth. I'm not sure we know our end. We may see it coming, but lights out... what can we know in that moment? As a believer, our next consciousness is written to be with Him. Isn't that the essence of eternity, in the sense of no beginning and no end? We see other's come into the world, and we see others go out. But we only experience eternity.

I'm not a theologian I found a verse that might be food for thought: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 What? Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you and which ye have from God, and that ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s. ----The temple was made up of three major parts: 1. Court of Gentiles 2. Priestly service area 3. Holiest of Holies.

how do you define a cult?
@sextonhomesteadlife
@sextonhomesteadlife 6 ай бұрын
That's tricky. I'm not sure that I have one firm definition in mind. As you might expect, I view the word through a Christian lens. So I would define cults in relationship to Christianity. I typically associate the concept of cults with religious secrecy and often with a twisting of religious teachings or an amalgamation of Christian with non-Christian doctrine. Hope that answers your question.

So let me ask you this question I’m gonna start with 190 proof or even 200 proof ethanol food grade To do percolation with my herbs So once I add water to the ethanol, is that going to reduce the strength of the tincture for consumption or Will it still stay a strong tincture, but only just diluted down ? Because I do know that when you start with a higher strength ethanol, it gets more of the plant matter out versus a lower volume alcohol
@sextonhomesteadlife
@sextonhomesteadlife 6 ай бұрын
It all depends on what you want to extract. If you're after only the alcohol soluble components, then you want the proof to stay as high as possible. Any additional water would dilute the potency. If you're after only water soluble components, you only need enough alcohol to prevent spoilage. Since we're very often after a mixture of these, a stronger proof (undiluted) alcohol does not always equal a medicinally stronger tincture. For the most medicinally potent tincture, use the proof that best corresponds to that herb.

What about a large boil? It is about 3" square and has about 4 heads on it. There is raw tissue visible. Is it necessary to keep the plantain powder from having contact with the raw places? IOW should I put something in between the boil and the poultice to prevent direct contact, or is it not a problem? Will the plant material get stuck on the boil tissue and cause trouble? TYVM.

To make the nut easier to crack set them. In your BBQ grill with a few charcoal bricks. Once dried And burn so much of the shell down. This will remove unwanted oils in the pulp an. Thin the shell making them easier to crack. And it smokes an flavors the pulp at the same time.

Slow roast the dry nut by burning off the surface shell. Don't take your eyes off them as u burn off so much. Use the heat an ash to thin the shell. To flavor the pulp can add hickory charcoal and smoke flavor the pulp. At the same time.

@@lynnodonnell4764 I have noticed only grass typically grows underneath black walnut trees. You could use that to your advantage around your property where you don't want other things sprouting up; just spread the slurry where you don't other trees or shrubs. If you mow the grass a few times a year under your BW tree, they are much easier to find and pick off the ground when they fall.

He only mentioned "inside in the corner of a room", which might be an enclosed porch of some kind? The maggots (larvae) of walnut husk fly (Rhagoletis completa) are light brown flies, smaller than a housefly, and have dark bars crossed on their two transparent wings. I wonder how much of a problem they would be in any indoor space. I would guess it would be best to dry in some sort of shed, like you might dry corn in a corn crib. Luckily us home growers typically can ignore the walnut husk fly because they don't affect the nutmeats, but I certainly wouldn't want an indoor infestation of then flying inside my house!
