I ❤ NewJeans. I was never a Kpop fan but when Ditto first came out, i was floored. You are dead right that Min Heejin was instrumental in developing the concept and creating the team behind the group with the selection of writers and musicians. What matters are that NJ wants to continue to work with the current production team and with the Hybe fued, their concept may change. That’s something I do not want to happen as that will turn NJ to just another Kpop idol group.

No their concept won't change and hybe won't change concepts....and still mhj is the producer it means except management everything is handled by her itself it's just as she is not the ceo she doesn't have management rights but when it comes to production her say is final.... But she never gave credits to these guys....cause before min heejin itself these guys were allocated for new jeans

@@tejaswijetti7924 Maybe you need to get more informed about hybe, min hee jin and her creative team. These two producers were literally hand-picked by mhj to work on NewJeans along with all her creative team, the choreographers and the MV directors(e.g. dolphiners). 250 & FRNK were not household names before the meteoric rise of NewJeans and now they are getting the rightful recognition by the fans and the kpop music scene. As for your comment about hybe won't change concepts, I don't know how you could be so sure of this, but do check out what happened to Gfriend's concept, a full 180.

@@jinhongyu911 u need to know that yes 250 got recognized becoz of Newjeans currently but you should know that 250 made the song for bts look here, and for other artists too, hybe acquired source music, then they had songs made from foreign artists for which 250 is the producer and 2 of the songs were taken for new girls group, later mhj wanted a girl group of her own and went with the current 5 girls and formed the group NewJeans, as she had seen the potential of 250, she made him the producer for most of the Newjeans songs, it's not like she went and took him, he was already there and made 2 songs where she wasn't involved, but she made sure for the future projects ,him to be the producer by seeing his potential and also he knows very well about the 2000's music generes and the group name NEW(a modern take)JEANS(on old trends) represents this and FRNK made the remix of F(4 walls) and it was too good and Min got him as to make New jeans songs sound more good becoz of the remix beats. 250 was gotten into hybe not becoz of MHJ but MHJ definetely has the potential to look into the talent of the people. when it comes to gfriend,for a long time they stick to one concept and and later on tried almost other concepts as they need to be relevant to the upcoming 4th and 5th generations everygroup does the same after sometime to bring newness to it, Newjeans is already a young group, if the concept is changed then there's no uniqueness when it comes to newjeans as newjeans, Blackpink and BTS are a different kind of groups, balckpink have their seniors and they are YG coded but u can't see that YG ness in other artists, BTS went along the way of human emotions of everykind and newjeans in the sameway talking about the goofiness, happiness and sadness of the current generation but u need to know that yes 250 got recognized becoz of Newjeans but you should know that

New jeans really came up and let the industry know that you dont need to follow the same old formula to succeed. You can just feel the passion for the art from everyone involved whenever they drop something. I usally only get that feeling from small company groups and soloists.

OMG FINALLY an interesting video about NJ among all the noise. I totally agree that after all NJ is most of all about the music, and their music is great. I think NJ´s music does not belong to conventional mainstream KPOP category, for lack of a better word. A LOT of mainstream KPOP is actually written by swedish,, american ... composers. And I am glad to see NJs music is from korean composers, thanks to show them to us. My favourite KPOP would probably fit the category of ALT POP, singing Hip HOP and RB, well all sort of genres I guess. In my playlist I have: COLDE, JUKJAE, YERIN BAEK, producer COSMIC BOY, YANGHONGWON, OLNL, ... do you know them? Right now I am obsessed with this songs: Well…? (근데) and 4 Seasons (1.12) (사계) by YANGHONGWON.

heyy thanks for watching :) yeah I listened to a lot of krnb and khiphop like dean and crush, cosmic boy is really good too. but yeah it's super interesting how min hee jin brought and trusted these underground producers to produce mainstream songs for kpop and it clearly ended up working. i think you have to give this woman (lover her or hate her) some credit cuz when it comes to art and creativity she clearly knows what she's doing. like her coming up with the idea of collabing with murukami for example

@@yoojae I support MHJ and although in Korea she seems to be highly respected, it is heartbreaking to read all the hate comments from international stupid fandoms. Anyways, yeah I agree MHJ project of uniting alternative art with the teenage world was so special. It is sad to see what is going on now. I am going to search for Dean, I do not think I know about him.

Having watched the press conference from 4 months ago and with a better English translation, you could see right away what MHJ was about. She has waited for a long time to get the opportunity to create a group with unique sounds and that's what NJ are. They just don't sound the same as other groups right down to their phrasing and vocals. And she has clearly brought everyone along for the ride even though it sounds like she can be pretty tough at times. Her only goal is seems was to be the creative lead and she'll fight all day long to keep that because she believes in it. Her choice of producers and knowledge of how things work is top notch. I think the only issue is there are politics and business issues that she even said is not her strong suit. So she trusted people a lot. And she may be a victim of revealing the "formula" too soon as it appears some people thought it was a strong and stable formula that could be repeated with other groups. Except it's not. It's a fragile delicate spider web of themes that only really works with these girls and this moment. Because it is mash of old and new and it's very hard to make that sound fresh.

The producers behind NJ (250, FRNK, etc.) are literal geniuses. Their sound was picked for a reason. Case in point, go watch the Tokyo Bunnies Fanmeet set of FRNK doing an opening 15 minute DJ set. - it was amazing. ADOR as a whole are incredible tastemakers. Also, have you heard the demo sample MHJ dropped at the Hyundai Event? It’s nostalgic but refreshing, just as the name “NewJeans” implies.

Good video bro. Never been a kpop fan or prolly ever see myself getting to it like that but I'm a big fan of newjeans and their music. These producers/artists working behind newjeans' music have a great ear for sounds and melodies that create a certain feeling especially when it has hint of nostalgia or anything that's groovy and newjeans are just the right group to represent it. Super talented group. I especially love 250's remix on hurt. So good 👍

nah not usually, producers are the peeps that make the song and they usually send them out to professional mixers and masterers

Producers are the ones that puts together the sounds or create the sounds and melodies. They can mix and master too if they can but that's a whole different process. Mixing and mastering is what makes the music sound clean coming out of your speakers so it doesn't sound muddy and messy with the different sounds put together through the producing process.
