I feel like both combos were really complimenting the chosen ingredients until Link picked the Oreos. With the unsweet PB and apricot jam I would've gone for the toasted bread.

That said if Link had picked toasted, then I feel Rhett should've picked the fruity pebbles to best combine with the jam he has, so Link would;ve been left with Oreos anyways. Though I feel that on toasted that would work better since everything will melt together a bit more.

I have a suggestion for this game. When there are only 2 options for a certain staple ingredient (Bread, Peanut Butter. Toasted/Untoasted, Jelly), when one of those is picked, the other one automatically goes to the other person, but then it is still the other person's turn. Otherwise the 2nd person is stuck with the leftovers or risk getting none of that item and so they are constantly picking second.

I thought the same thing but I also, reluctantly, have to admit that I loved it when Rhett double-cheesed himself making chili…also when he “stuck Link” with all the bread when they made breakfast sandwiches. Those moments would not have been possible if this rule is to be “strictly” enforced. 😂

I regularly have my PB&Js with one side toasted (the pb side) and the other untoasted (jelly cause it melts quickly on toasted half) It is magical folks! The texture is super complementary with the taste!

As an Australian, I can confirm that you are absolutely INCORRECT about us liking peanut butter sandwiches. The thing that is weird to us is SWEET peanut butter. Here's the PB&J I made for myself when I'm feeling fancy: Toasted & buttered bread, Peter Pan Honey Roasted Chunky Peanut Butter, pineapple jelly, and a clover honey drizzle on top of the peanut butter. It's "busting" as the kids call it nowadays.

I toast my PB&J as both slices, but one goes in with the extra crunchy peanut butter already applied. This way the pb can melt as the bread toasts, and it'll be warm when you put the cold jelly on the other piece. Put those together and WOW.
