Its about time that cameras are automatically switched on red X lanes (apart from, say, the first two or three) to catch those that flout the rules. No excuse at all. Regarding motorcyclists, we have a few that do that type of thing on the main roads. I was coming home one afternoon, and a total idiot came onto my side of the road and heading straight for me. If I hadn't swerved over towards the pavement, he would have smashed straight into me, and when he passed me, he did the same to a lorry behind me. What really gets my goat is that if I hadn't swerved or the lorry didn't swerve, we would have been the guilty party. So in the grand scheme of things, those bikers you had were really doing the best thing. Not harming anyone and not near any housing estate. Its a shame though that they woke you up. My hubby had to always get used to noises because he worked shiftwork and would have to sleep during the day, so had cars and van deliveries and ice cream vans playing their tunes. Comes with the job I'm afraid. Anyway, looking at the route you're taking into south Wales, we did the same for our holiday to Tenby. Beautiful ride down there. When my hubby sadly passed away in 2019, I decided to take the caravan out myself after Covid shutdown, to Shrewsbury, and looking where you drove round the ring road, I think you may have passed the caravan site where I stayed. For a first time at towing, I did a pretty fair job of it😊

What made it worse every 15-20mins it would turn on and run for 30seconds. I know they can have turbo timers for turning off but someone might know if it was doing that to keep the engine at a certain temp as it was -2 that night. I dont think anyone was in it as it kept doing it until 2:30 in the morning when it left, i swear you could hear his exhaust for a good 3mins as he was driving away musta been a couple km away by then it was that loud

Some really good comments on here yet again. Like the one says you can polish the paintwork and fuel tanks while your tipping instead of hanging around doing nothing. In some places I've noticed that the natives Like to play in their streets reving engines and practicing hand brake turns at night when nobody else is using the roads. This is very considerate of them, don't you think ? I remember parking up in a backstreet near the Elephant and Castle in London one night and couple of days later I was told that it was the only night for ages there hadn't been a stabbing. So I must've done some good. Eh!

Gonna throw a thought, as a driver I would find it annoying to have riders & sliders driving by making a lot of noise, particularly when you had a long day & looking forward to a good bit of sleep, but at the same time, I like to take my car for a slide for a little bit, but there isn't anywhere really for to go & have a little fun without disturbing anyone or being plastered anti social, dangerous & having the police after you, I know "take it to the track" but there aren't many around and its a few hundred to do a few laps. Be nice to be aloud to use a carpark of a disused or abandoned complex from time to time.
