Nope, as I said, Sneijder was the heartbeat of two UNFANCIED sides. Almost any time he played for club and country, he was always involved in whatever was good.. and this was an unfancied side that won the TREBLE. He wasn't a one man team, FAR from it. But pulling string in two successful teams who punched way above is more than enough. As for ribery, his decent stats would have gotten him player of the year, of course. But once again, he was part of an all conquering INSANE bayern team. For me, sneijder was MUCH more of a difference for inter than ribery was for Bayern. And that is what makes a player more worthy in my eyes

Cos again, in a mourinho side, a midfielder plays a MUCH bigger role than they do in a Zidane side. Zizous real were a LOT more attacking and mainly using full backs to create width. They are FAR more direct and hence the forwards are always going to player a bigger role.. which is why real scored like 94 goals that season despite finishing third in la liga while inter didn't even pass 80 in serie a despite WINNING the damn thing. Even sneijder alone, in real madrid and even for Netherlands in that world cup he had a much more free role where he can roam around and drift wide. But in a mourinho side, he was far more disciplined and actually did a good deal of work off the ball. Contrary to that simpletons automatically equate him to, he was FAR from a lampard at Chelsea kind of thing. He had to work off the ball too, ESPECIALLY in the ucl against the likes of bayern and barcelona. And despite EVEN that, he still ALMOST reached double figures in goals for the season AT a team like INTER. Whereas as vital as luka was that season, him managing to net only 3 goals doesn't show how bad he was, he was FAR FROM bad of course, but shows how relatively a smaller role midfielder in a zizou madrid side play compared to a mourinho inter side. That's all. As for the rest, modric taking Croatia to the final is a good point, I'll give you that. But again, ronaldos overall impact at Real Madrid AND his world cup performances in still a largely not great Portugal side backs up what he did in the league and UCL that season... so yes, he deserved it. And while Messi was still amazing in 2010 and, as usual, racked up INSANE stats, considering all above, considering aneijders collective success AND how pivotal of a role he played in his teams success AND how much more it is than Messi RELATIVE to the ronaldo and modric comparison you're trying to bring about... yes. The UCL semi final between United and Milan, a Kaka brace in the first leg kept his team in contention after a 3-2 loss, and he opened the scoresheet in the second leg to kick start and easy 3-0 win I know that's just two matches but in that competition Kaka stepped up when it mattered

This is an amazing video! Obviously everyone has their own opinion and disagreements. I personally agree with everything, except for the year 2010. I think that Iniesta deserved the Balon D'or over Messi and Sneider. Not only did he score the game winning goal in the world cup, but he played a crucial role for both club and country. Sneider played just as much of a crucial role for club and country as well. But if we put statistics and trophies aside and focus on the eye test, Iniesta was absolutely world class. After he won the world cup, it was clear that there was no better midfielder on the planet. The simplicity and the elegance in his style of play set him far apart from the rest.
