On May 29th, 1953, Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary became the first people to stand on top of the world at 8,848 meters, marking a historic moment in human perseverance and exploration. Maybe, he should continue making the videos in Nepali but provide English subtitle so that any foreigners can watch the video. I believe that our parents, who aren't fluent in English, should be able to enjoy The Nepali Comment's videos too. Foreigners have other channels like Vox. I know that Vox hasn't touched on this particular issue, but my desire is that such informative videos should be comprehensible to normal Nepalis too.

Regarding the nationality issue, I always grew of believing that Tenzing was a Nepali citizen, as that is how information used to be disseminated in the school textbooks. But when I reached Darjeeling, I found so many monuments erected on his name. That put me in a state of confusion. Even during the visit to the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, I found that Tenzing was so well revered in Darjeeling, which makes sense because he worked there and led the expedition to Everest from Darjeeling . This video has such a sad ending note. It's dreadful what fame does to people.

Sir Edmund Hilarry is more Nepali than Tenzin Norge. Sir Edmund Hillary might be born in New Zealand but he worked in Nepal, his contribution to this country is more than Gyanendra Shah, Sherbahadur Deuba, Girija, KP and MaKuNe combined. Whereas on the other hand Norge is an Indian even though His birth is In Nepal. We should focus on Karma than Janma. So i dont even care who reached the top first.

Well researched. Your vlogs are at top. We as a general Nepali only know that Tenging and Hillary climed the Everest. But i personally didn't know the things behind the success and after success. We human being are never corrected. When Buddha's body was cremated, some bones and tooth were remained unburned. There were quarrels amongs the king on how to divide them.
