So of course the inevitable wins but the human spirit lives through Kong and although he was not the strongest the heart he showed was inspirational and in the end the inevitable was aided by the hum spirit and ultimately it’s the combination of the two that triumphs and paints the picture of the ability for both to survive along with each other with and when the proper respect is paid to each other

Even though Kong lost, I left happy. The roar that Kong gives when he raised the severed head was just brutal! The violent passion of that scene gives me chills every time I watch it (3 times so far ). Also loved the change in fight style Godzilla tapped into for this matchup. It's hard to make Godzilla more intimidating but this put him on a new level!

And of course he's not alone anymore (jia, nathan and the other girl) and godzilla respects him. BIG win for team kong

Kong would get bodied brutally by Destoroyah. Godzilla too. Remember, Destoroyah is essentially an aggregate life form. Punching and chopping him ain't going to do shit. You gotta melt or freeze him. While his own abilities allow for the destruction of targets on the molecular level due to micro-oxygen and the horn katana. That katana would kill kong if used even once. The only reason it didn't kill godzilla in the 1995 film is because the wound healed too fast. Spacegodzilla is a much more fair opponent for them to team up against.

One scene I liked is how after killing MechaG, Godzilla roars startling the humans which makes kong get up from resting as if they are going to fight again and you can see Kongs face practically say "are you fucking kidding me dude?! Everyone should be very happy with this movie. They actually found a way to please fans of both monsters. Godzilla kicked Kong's butt overall, but Kong saved the day. They pretty much saved each other. Kong got the last blow on big bad but not without Godzilla's dorsal plate and a charge up. Kong was more humanized than expected, which was very interesting and made the character likeable instantly. Godzilla came out more active than ever before, and that was intense. The monster part of the movie just couldn't have been done any better.

Also has anyone notice how many assists Kong got in the movie. Kong had like 4 or 5 assists and including the last blow to Mechagodzilla. Which Godzilla over charged his axe.
