Rainbow Neos is better because you can most likely finish the game when the effect goes through. Also, you can get rid of monsters who have destruction or other similar protection. Armed Neos' first effect is good but doesn't finish the game, and many good monsters at least have destruction protection. The second effect is only live when it destroys something in battle. Since when were such effects considered good ?

Ironically I use both in the deck, in Master Duel, then Neos Fusion first RainBow Neos, and then Armed Neos and I could actually use Rainbow Dragon’s atk as my target to destroy my opponents, which was neat that i use it on my TCG deck

I think rainbow is better because if your opponent has a monster negate, and uses it on armed neos who tributes for cost, you're done but if they negate rainbow, he's a 4500 body and armed neos requires you to go second, then destroy something and then resolve his effect the next turn so you win on your second turn and hero is about otking. Kruger is better than both because you don't need neos fusion since both materials are named so devicer searches.

Man I just wiped a yubel field with rainbow neos. Neos is good as an option. That's why I love heroes. There's so many options.

The Correct answer is Neos Kreuger, but because Kreuger is an E-Hero monster by name, it's also a summon target of Armed. So it depends on if you want nontargetted field-return clearing that not a lot of monsters have protection against even in this era (Rainbow neos) in a deck where it's easy to just have a spare hero out to be used as material so the cost isn't a huge deal, or a mass destruction on summon that's likely to leave something big alive which can ONLY summon other heroes as a quick effect AFTER you've successfully destroyed by battle (armed neos). It is the conditions associated with Armed neos that are the problem, that it has to successfully battle and destroy by battle to get its 'tribute to summon any extra deck E-hero' quick effect, that is the stumbling point which makes it less effective than Rainbow Neos in my opinion, especially as destruction protection or direct destruction counters to negate and destroy (i.e. Stardust dragon) are far more common. However, Armed Neos is the more playable of the two thanks to all the armed dragon support, as well as Dark armed dragon that makes it possible to be played normally as part of the hero deck so it isn't a brick-in-hand like rainbow dragon is outside of a Crystal beast deck, or be held back by the higher summoning cost requisite of Dark rainbow dragon. I run into things that get over Armed neos' attack power a LOT that are also high level, but the deck can't really support all of the needed materials to just put them all in. And it's not like "King of the swamp" (Remember that ye olde staple fusion-substitute monster that also searched polymerization for us? good times) works on non-specific materials

I was running both last month, it works if you run Rainbow Dark Dragon, if I remember right, the old deck had like 8 darks in main and extra. I've been experimenting with just Armed Neos recently just because I think that's all we need... for now... It's rather nice to get 3+ individual pops for DADE but Rainbow has so much access. Red Dragoon being one of my favorite plays with Dark Magician + Rainbow Dragon. Cheers!

Rainbow Neos, was the ultimate Neos Fusion monster for that time period (Divine Neos was ass) and it was again made relevant when Neos Fusion came out, cause it offered more protection for Rainbow Neos. In my build, I would use Rainbow Dark Dragoon rather than Rainbow Dragon, as he wasn't a brick if you had the right number of Dark monters in the GY. With POTE, Favorite Contact made Rainbow Neos have another layer of protection and was really troublesome to deal with. Savage Strike and the Jaden Tin gave us the Cosmo, Nebula Neos along with the Trap NEXT, made those fusion monsters somewhat easier to summon. Again POTE really was a game changer and Cosmo and Nebula Neos were in the forefront and Rainbow Neos really took a backseat. Armed Neos, is real great Neos Fusion Target. The on Summon effect for board clearing. Then the main phase Quick effect to cheat out Nebula or Cosmo Neos, will definitely put a hurting on the Opponents turn. For right now Armed Neos is the go to monster for a lot points you mentioned both on your turn and/opponents turn. Sorry for the essay and thanks for content! It's D-Time!!!!!!

Rainbow Neos have a better direct response. Non-Target Non-Destruction Monster/SpellTrap/GY spin is very good. Also, he have more ATK and you don't need multiple Extra Deck space. (Not being Quick-Effect is not that bad at the moment, in my opinion. During Tear0 it was horrible) Armed Neos is better for the long game. He can turn into Nebula/Cosmo or IDK... Contrast Hero Chaos. (Chaos being one of my favorites; Quick Effect Omni Negate once per turn?? Yes Please) But you need to have other Heroes on the extra. Sometimes i felt my Extra being way too small because of that. Also, you need to set up for turn 3/4. Neos Kluger (I know you did not mentioned it, but...) cannot wipe boards or have responses like the competition, but he have something the others don't have. He's better going first. Not mind blowing, but better. The others are just big meat shunks turn 1. Kluger tags out to Wiseman and Wiseman have some protection. Also, Burn Damage to keep the Wingman theme. But you need to run TWO bricks on Main Deck (Yubel + Wiseman). (Counterpoint: King of the Swamp from Hand/Field/GY) ... That's very difficult. At the moment I see Armed Neos being better, but I can see the others being viable in different metas. But I think in the future we will see Cyber Neos. Cyber Dragon + Neos. That one will be interesting to add to this list, because Cyber Dragon is not as bricky.

I prefer Armed Neos because most people aren’t afraid of Rainbow Neos because they can interact and negate the effects. Armed Neos can at least clear the board on summon. It may not get rid of everything but you’re running fusions and synchro monsters, you’ll most likely get them popped for using Armed Dragon Level 10. Most of the powerful banish and Omni negates are level 10 monsters. It wouldn’t matter in a deck with monsters who have no levels or ranks. Also the quick effect into Cosmo Neos hurts the opponents recovery by a lot. Assuming you were able to clear the board with Armed Neos. Also I feel as though Rainbow Neos flourishes more in a Crystal Beast deck then in a hero deck. But that’s just my opinion. Neos Powaaaaaa!!!

Both rainbow dragon and armed NEOS cannot be special summoned by NEOS fusion with King of the swamp in deck because it's effect doesn't register in the deck, you should be able to use King of the swamp as material if it's in your hand tho for Neos fusion(four-armed NEOS you'd only be able to substitute the Neos of course). As for rainbow NEOS, you cannot use King of the swamp as substitute with poly because rainbow Neo specifically says it requires the above cards, and the ruling says that you cannot use any substitute to make it without the accurate materials.

it's also likelier you can summon Armed Neos under Gozen Match. also most of the time he'd give you an extra pop from Shining Neos Wingman. on the other hand Rainbow Dragón is the prettier brick to play

Gozen match only lets you summon 1 attribute. Rainbow neos would be the better option since you have more light monsters in a typical neos build. Armed neos locking you into wind monsters means you can get the pop but no effect to summon unless you summon a wind EHERO

I still think rainbow neos is the coolest fusion of all neos archtype i think suffle everything to the decl is more inpactfull than do raigeki to 3k or less atk even if it activates when its summoned and i also found in practice that his first eff don' t come to much same turn to win the second effect xause u cleared the mosnters so u can't get rid of one in battle most of the time and win the quick eff that turn. But yeah a cool fusion overall but i still want to trust in rainbow neos cause i also love the lore, the artwork and the rarities he have and also that have 4500 k attack.
