Awe, damnit, I’m so sorry about the mould sale.... It’s a good thing to walk away from a problem that’s frustrating! I’ll tell you what, that helm modification is unbelievably nice, I just can’t believe the level of your skills, fantastic! Okay, Janet’s turn....what a great job she’s done, they’ve come out perfectly, oh man, she’s getting good!!!

Re-engineering and fabrication of your modifications to the original plans is exciting both for our viewing and your eventual enjoyment of the boat...... but its not all plug and play. Your problem solving continues to impress. Good luck as we are watching and enjoying the process, inspite of any frustrations they may create for you. Hang in there.

See, now you get a chance to make a second hull and make a Quadamaran! no one has one of those, the ultimate in custom! Sure, docking might be a little tricky, and you would need to go through canals sideways, but think of all the interior space for stuff!

Ross what I found when trying to curve Divinycell make your cuts wider on the back, fill the cuts with Techniglue the bend it. Scrape off the excess glue that gets squeezed out but once it sets it will stay curved for life and be very strong. Also don't forget to rip off the peel ply, that got me yesterday. You are on the home stretch its looking amazing, also curves look much better than 90 degrees.

A truly great episode! When you describe a job as, "not an easy feat," I shudder thinking about it. Then you focus in and just do it, making it look supremely simple in the execution, ending with something absolutely brilliant! Together, you are the perfect team, and I'm so glad that you're sharing this incredible journey with everyone.

I'm looking forward to seeing how you make the area near the console strong enough to mount the pair of winches you plan on installing. The entire series has been about how ingenious you've had to be to get this far - and it looks like that's just going to continue until she's in the water. Also great to see Janet enjoying learning new skills - and being justifiably proud of her accomplishments. As the saying goes "Behind every great man is an equally great woman, with a slightly surprised look on her face". Stay safe out there.

Hey Ross, great to see the build progressing. You probably already know this and a thousand other tricks, but I thought I'd mention it anyway. I've made some nice organic curves using mesh fabric and wooden dowel rods. I like to use the black speaker grill fabric, but I've seen people use everything from pantyhose to tweed. We'd use the dowel rods like scaffolding then stretch the fabric over very tight before throwing on some epoxy to harden it up. From there you can do whatever you want...reverse molds, thicker substrates, whatever the application calls for. Doesn't work for every scenario, but it has saved me a lot of kerfing.

Helm station coming along nicely. Do you really need a seperate wind instrument? Does the Garmin plotter have that info on it? I have B&G instruments on my 45ft Beneteau and the plotter screen displays all that info and more on the screen on different pages. Can control the autopilot, view the maps, view wind instruments, view a camera in the engine room if you have one, and lots lots more. No need for seperate instrument heads
