I have played TSTO for 10 years now and still love it. I tried Goosebumps, Smurfs, and Futurama, but they were all just cash grabs with no balance at all. The Simpsons game is perfectly balanced to allow the free to player to get ahead, albeit slowly, but they can earn donuts and buy freemium content. The others are simply there to empty your wallets!

Who else thinks tapped out should come to consoles? Sure the title wouldn’t be fully accurate anymore, but at least we’d have a way to keep it even after the license expires…

Honestly this could be Disney plus trying to go the Netflix route with games. Netflix did the same thing with the free to play game Narcos. Plus they have other options too like the family guy game.

I have a feeling that once EA shuts down The Simpsons: Tapped Out (Especially with the fact that EA is moving away from licensed IPs), THQ Nordic may acquire the rights to video games based on The Simpsons. (Then again, THQ did release The Simpsons: Night of the Living Treehouse of Horror on the Game Boy Color in 2001. THQ also made a GBA port of The Simpsons: Road Rage in 2003)

Pocket Camp is at least getting an offline version that players can transfer their data to. Unfortunately, Tapped Out isn’t getting anything of the sort.

The only game I play that’s similar to any of these is DragonVale. There was a close call with it potentially shutting down, but Hasbro own it now, and it apparently is making enough for them to keep it running. I’d be gutted if DragonVale were to ever shut down, so I can sympathise with Tapped Out players.

I used to play that a TON in 2013-2016. i remember when the dark and light elements came out, first you were supposed to pick one but they ended up adding both elements.
