I really like The Simpsons, so hearing about this knowing that this is the last current Simpsons game ongoing, hurts a lot. I wish I was able to play The Simpsons: Tapped Out a lot more often than not, but I will play the game these last few months before it's closure. R.I.P. The Simpsons: Tapped Out 2012 - 2024. Ok so this is the real reason the game is shutting down: EA no longer has rights to produce and make Simpsons games and the contract is about to expire. So the only way we can play it is that people will have to host private servers. I’ve actually seen websites of private servers where we have to put our EA accounts in.
