It doesn't matter what negative things people say about Goldberg because he found a way to continue to live his life after an injury that must have placed plenty of doubt in his life as a football player! He found something to live for, went after it, got paid, started a family and in the process, left his fans with many wrestling memories for years to come!!! I, certainly, as a WCW wrestling fan, appreciate the excitement of his career, especially when he beat Hulk Hogan back in the day!!! And in the WWE, when he defeated Brock Lesnar, that was great!!! Thank you very much, Bill Goldberg, for the many memorable moments!!!

Bill Goldberg is a legend because he was a spectacle. Don’t care that his move set was limited, because his moves were intense and powerful. Don’t care that he was basically non-existent on the mic, because his physical stature was awe inspiring. I’d also say the timing was perfect because the gimmick probably doesn’t work at such a level without the nWo.

WCW Goldberg was it for me. How they handled him in WWE made no sense. But then again that's how Vince treated all former WCW wrestlers. Goldberg was a watered down version of himself in WWE and that made his character look soft in the process. Still a GOAT tho in my book 💯.

I will never understand why people complain about the WWE run, it was awesome, he beat The Rock, Jericho, Triple H, Brock Lesnar, he beat all of them clean, even when odds were against Goldberg, he dominated people on Raw, he was booked to look strong and had lenghty matches, people always say "Yeah well Goldberg is better used in WCW cause he did squash matches" tell me were in a main event did Goldberg squash Steiner, Hogan, DDP, Scott Hall or Nash, he only squashed the no name jobbers for the most part, WWE had big time players, you cant have them squashed, Goldbergs WWE stint was perfect the way it was, his theme song was better his friendship with Stone Cold, the beerbashes the had, all very unique and badass, no need for the stereotypical competitve rivalry the way Angle and Lesnar went on being

It's always Vince and his petty ego that is responsible. You have to remember that even though Triple H has a lot of influence due to his marriage with Stephanie, it's always Vince who gets the final say in anything. Plus, with the benefit of hindsight, it also does not help that hangers-on like Kevin Dunn will try and give their last minute input to make Vince change his mind. The only WCW guy who had been spared burial by McMahon is debatably Eric Bischoff, who was treated rather well throughout his run as RAW GM (and as a bonus, Bischoff mended fences with Stone Cold Steve Austin during their run as co-GMs, having moved past their initial feud over Austin's dismissal from WCW).

Whoever adviced him to shave his head, big props. If it was his own idea, even better. I always admired watching his entrancce, him breathing out that smoke and his powerful matches, even though I discovered professional wrestling and watched them on youtube obbsessively years later :) He also seems like a very nice person out of wrestling career. Thank you Sir, for making professional wresting something very enjoyable to watch with other wrestlers such as The Rock and Rey Mysterio.

I always loved Goldbergs spear ( others it depends on who lol) but his actual finisher the Jackhammer was one of my favorites... Does anyone know who created it or was known for it before Goldberg because to my knowledge IDK anyone

I always been a Goldberg fan. When he caught fire in WCW it was must see TV because dude was a beast but I do agree wcw killed the golden goose when Kevin Nash ended the streak by that time NWO was watered down and played out. Always felt it should of been DDP to end the streak. After the match they had you could see a good storyline build up where it wouldn't hurt goldberg if he lost to DDP.

But I don't think DDP, a babyface, beating him would've made sense. Nash was a tweener and a triple threat match between Goldberg, Nash and Hogan(or Scott Steiner) for the World title in the future would've been amazing imo.

Nash always claimed that it was not his idea but he was the booker so who's idea was it? It in my mind is the event that started the end of WCW and another Nash moment, finger poke of doom was the final nail in the coffin. It can be argued that Goldberg could have kept WCW competitive.

The reason the fans were booind during the golberg vs lesnar match wasn’t because their contracts were ending it was due to the fact that it was a very disappointing boring match.

I remember 3 months of sneak peak Goldberg ads on tv and during WCW tapes before he made his nationally televised debut. My Buddy and I drank a case of beer outside of a mall one night just to get his autograph in the morning.. when we got to get his autograph all we had was the empty case of beer cardboard for him to autograph. He smiled and looked at us and said where’s my beer.. we drank it Mr Goldberg.. he signed it… next time bring me a damn beer or your NEXT! Great video

The announcers verbally announced "The Streak" LONG before he beat Raven. They were calling out the number of wins after Wayne Bloom got "Spiked" on Thunder with the count at 56-0. Most other superstars who became legendary used promos, managers, ring girls, and story lines. Glodberg didn't need any of that. The man didn't cut promos, he said two words, Who's Next? The answer to that question was .... EVERYONE!

Goldberg lived up to his image and wcw character. The WCW top management made a huge bet on Goldberg to be the next star and he had that responsibility to deliver or at least live up to that hype. And deliver he did. He possessed the physique, the raw intensity and power, coupled with his in ring athleticism and no nonsense approach. The kids and adults saw this and gravitated towards that character. Boom!

I dont care how stupid the choice they made on putting the hogan match on free t.v. that night will always be apart of my childhood. I think just about all my family was packed into our living room which was really different from other Monday nights but this felt different. As my 8 year old self sat on the floor with my other cousins since all the older cousins and adults had all the seats. That crowd in the georgia dome was huge and jacked all night and we were to all the way in my little house in South Carolina. We we watched him defeat hall first that night which is forgotten for some reason as the only way he could get to hogan was if he defeated hall first. That just was a cool night. My little house was just a loud as the georgia dome had to be speacially when page and malone helped goldberg from getting the usual nwo treatment then the 1 2 3.
