Blythe Danner is in the blue dress; Polly Bergen in the dark green dress. Even though they drastically changed the music, I loved this choreography because it really showed past and present.

​@@steffeng40 The main critique that this production got was that its director, whose experience was mostly with straight plays, didn't really know how to stage musical numbers effectively. Compare that to the genius that was Michael Bennett... In any case I'm a sucker for Carol Woods

@@alexmg3648 I am with you on Carol Woods. If I remember correctly, James Goldman's widow took the opportunity to put much of the cut dialogue back into the show, which never is a really good idea, when something works perfectly already. - I did not come to NYC until 2007 for the Encores! production, which I simply adored.

@@steffeng40 I've listened to the Encores! recording here on KZbin and it's my favorite. The perfect Sally and Phyllis imo.
