@@Kallastin Imo ppl should not be focusing on the shrine part but on the enchantment part of that card. Enchantment matters like sanctum combined with stuff like constilation is surprisingly good. I agree that its probably not CEDH good, but I would like to see it tried out.
@Kallastin2 жыл бұрын
@@TheVaultDescendant yeah. The chance of someone spending WUBRG to bring an enchantment back with cards like naturalize and stuff so common in the format would cause more issues than payoff for that specific commander. It may have big pop off moments but I don't see it being good with other Enchantress style decks.
@TheVaultDescendant2 жыл бұрын
@@Kallastin I am not getting what I mean across 🙈 When you cast/flicker your commander, or another shrine, you get a token that is an Enchantment. It is really easy to get an insane amount of enchantments. The enchantment theme gives tons of mana and card draw, and constellation or other etb-triggers are good finishers/stacks. One great thing about this is that the effect triggers on etb, and many cards that are real good with tokens are also enchantments. Again, this is probably not good enough for a CEDH, but it's a very strong and explosive midrange/grind deck. I am not a good deckbuilder, but the one I made is strong in comparison to the rest of my group.

I’m one of two entire people working on Shorikai on the discord. I’m glad you guys were preaching the gospel. I was trying to convince the other dude on there that he should run vanquish the hordes and out of time in his poly version (I’m not doing poly things). I feel like out of time should be in that list. It’s a white/x control deck that can make tokens that only plays one creature and even it’s damned commander isn’t a creature. If Out of Time fits literally anywhere at all.. it must be there, no? And I think we all sorta angreed it was a good card.
@trainspartan44642 жыл бұрын
I’m probably just stupid, but what’s the major wincon for the deck? I looked through the list but can’t seem to piece it together
@NewSchoolPOKERstrat2 жыл бұрын
@@trainspartan4464 The commander is a scepter outlet. You can use dramatic scepter to draw your deck and generate all the mana. In my list I just have one copy of Nexus of fate in the deck. That way when I draw myself out I play that and take an extra turn to attack with my nigh infinite army from all the commander activations. He’s also using polymorph (I don’t) so he can hit Hullbreaker horror and use it to tap and bounce mana rocks then replay them and tap and bounce to make infinite mana (as long as he has a mana positive rock and at least another he can go mana neutral on. Then he can bounce the commander and replay it to continue to activate it as many times as he needs. Basically the win con is “draw your deck”. As to how he literally closes out the game, in his list he just has to cobble something together that wins. It’s easier than it maybe seems w unbounded mana and access to all your cards. He could use codex shredder to mill everyone out by untapping it and activating it over and over with dramatic reversal/scepter.. he can do that same trick by bouncing the codex shredder and recasting it with Hullbreaker horror. He can make an immense army and then bounce every single non land permanent his opponents have, he can cast time twister over and over a couple ways with Narset in play to make sure his opponents are all hell bent. He can use copy artifact to copy his scepter and imprint swan song on the copy then he can make infinite bird tokens by using dramatic scepter to get a bunch of scepter activations on the stack and then start countering his own copies (dueling scepters) to make an army of 2/2 flyers and then bounce all his opponents things and then wheel their stuff away with Narset out so they have no permanents and no cards in hand and you have an infinite army and he has a perfectly sculpted hand to stop whatever feeble attempts the table might top deck on their last turn. The simplest thing for his deck is prob just to mill everyone out with codex shredder. In my version I just have one copy of nexus of fate and I deck myself so I cast and draw it every turn for as many turns as it takes (likely just one more. It almost says “give your army haste” but has backup text of “take all the turns if that isn’t good enough”) Hope that’s not too complicated. The simple answer is “imprint dramatic reversal onto isochron scepter and use your commander as an outlet”
@NewSchoolPOKERstrat2 жыл бұрын
Oh.. after watching the video again I see that the actual win con was to deck his opponents with their own Rhystic study greed. 😂

I think they played it correctly. You don't have to say whether you're tapping or untapping, or whether you're choosing artifact, creature, or land, but you DO have to declare the player you're targeting as you cast Turnabout. I assume that's why Dylan floated mana and activated his Top in response, which interestingly allowed Nate to choose to tap Dylan's creatures.
