My favorite dancers are Niki, Jungwon and Sunghoon. Even tho Heeseung is a better dancer than Sunghoon, I just love Hoonie’s dancing so much. You can tell he got classical dance training and his figure skating experience shows as well when he dances. He executes his moves with grace and fluidity, lots of precision and control, and beautiful body lines, and really good footworks. He needs to be more appreciated for his dance skill and not just his visual. He’s without a doubt unreal and super gorgeous but he’s also very talented!

All member is good at dancer .. but Wonki is so good.. for facial expression Jungwon are good (especially in mix and max because his act are on point)but for body languange i agree with you.. And Jungwon that he follow ni-ki moves but add his own style into his dance,there is a reason why Wonki always amaze people by their synchronization.. Both ni-ki or Jungwon not have any lack,they just have their own style They mentioned it in Mix and max interview,ni-ki used to dance with sexy vibes and fluidity.. All of them are visuals and great dancers. I love Jungwons swag but Niki just execudes power and precision so he will always be my main dancer. Stage presence wise, Niki has strong charisma but doesn't really play with the camera unlike Sunghoon, Sunoo and jungwon

Every Ni-Ki dance moves he has his own style. He grooves like he own the song ! Regards to facial expression his improving, being a IDOL is diff being PROFESSIONAL DANCER and we all know that Ni-Ki kun is a professional dancer. But overall I'm so happy in his improvement. Looking forward in more years Ni-Ki will dominate the KPOP world. This kid is so Talented

one thing about Jake is even if you are just watching his face, you will never get bored. IMO he knows his strengths and uses it to his advantage. even members have said that his expressions were always on point on the stage. I personally am not a dancer so I do not understand the terms and such but even to an untrained eye he improves immensely every comeback and to me raw talent plus big improvement holds a huge potential. to me he never sticks out between the other more experienced dancers and even shines in his own way. there is a reason he was chosen regardless of his short training time and that is his ability to grow and learn. he is so passionate and I will always cheer for him and look forward for his achievements!

i really thought sunghoon was 4th but i agree with jay a lot. i think in enhypen he has probably one of the most interesting textures and dynamic variations, and i like the way he moves sort of laid back but full out. i wasn't able to pinpoint it before but i always saw something "off" in jungwon's dancing. he was just so unique dynamics wise with his pops, expansive movement, and proportions, but he did in fact look a little lacking in personal body language. i love your insights so much, i think they're some of the most interesting i've seen in a while.

To be fair, Sunghoon ranked 4th at the beginning. But you know, after watching his fancams (1000 times) I noticed his isolations and locks weren't too stable, so he got some points deducted. Other than that, Sunghoon and Jay are pretty much interchangeable :D Thank you so much! 😄

Honestly now I’m confident about placing Sunghoon 4th or even 3rd. He improved SO MUCH this comeback. I think it’s due to both his strength training(have u seen his arm muscles) and increased confidence, his energy and strength got so much better. Jay may have better dynamics and powerful moves but Sunghoon’s technique is better imo. Sunghoon just has amazing coordination, alignments, fluidity, body lines and footworks along with that he’s got great pops and Ive also noticed that there are movements he executes better than all the members except Ni-Ki(for example in Blessed Cursed he was the only one who did that chorus move correctly. The rest of the members didn’t lift their feet and put weight on their hips/legs while only Niki and Sunghoon lifted their heels off the ground, that’s how it’s supposed to be done) Plus his energy has gotten so much better. I’m pissed by those who dismiss Sunghoon’s dance skills.

@@chaeyoungslovie agreed! in paradoxxx invasion, he established himself as having the most agile and detailed footwork, best lower area dynamics, fluid legwork, and best isolated lower area. its truly not only the best in enha but one of the best ive seen in idols imo. not only that, his upper body isolations are really good now, hes not tensed, and he can add head flavors and more textures. for me hes 2nd just below niki.

that was very interesting to watch ! since i got into enhypen i always struggled to find out who was the best dancer between sunghoon and jay but after watching your video, things got clearer lmao. and seeing all the time you spent to make your analyse is really impressive, i would never have the courage and determination to do it so well done ! also, i saw in your first upload that you were considering doing loona next and that would be such a great idea ! my ranking keeps changing after each era because these girls are constantly improving so i would absolutely love to see your analyse :)

I would say Jay and Sunghoon are interchangable. Sunghoon would probably rank higher in someone elses analysis, but my ranking system is awfully specific so you must do well in all criteria. Yeah I want to do Loona, but someone requested a bg, so I haven't made up my mind yet. But I have already started analyzing them :)

I'm so so so so so sorry for the mess I made. I watched the video trillion times and didn't think there would be any issues but I was wrong. So again IM SORRY😔 My ramen also got cold 🥲 AND this is kinda important: To say that Heeseung lacks "charm" was wrong. I figured out that they were many of you, who found his stage presence captivating. From my experience, he never really appealed to me because some of the other members had stronger presence like Niki, Jay and Jungwon (even Jake) making me forget him at times. So I'm sorry if I in any ways sounded disrespectful. His score in stage presence will go from 10 --> 11 Anyways these kind of mistakes will be prevented in the future! But for now enjoy (again)

Jake -stands out in fast, powerful sections. this focus on power before dancer's technique has fully advanced has one problem -he has a lot of excessive tension and struggles with choreos that the rest of the group dances in a more relaxed and fluid way -he struggles with slow, elegant, soft moments and tries to "power through" -it’s a habit of jake to use more power than necessary -he cant always sustain the correct shape and placement Sunoo -sunoo knows how to dance efficiently and how to preserve energy -dances that are light and upbeat suit him more -his placement is clear and accurate -he has a good amount of lower body strength and mobility -he cant utilize powerful dynamics yet, which are an important element of enhypen's choreography Sunghoon -sunghoon has overall the best alignment in enhypen and the strength to execute difficult moves with ease -he moves in a light-footed, connected way -he can translate his movement (light-footed, connected) into the group's choreography in the form of flow -he has the best form during physically challenging movement -dancers with a background like his are used to wide, extended use of their limbs, which is why some isolated movement close to the body is difficult from him -he often struggles to keep a consistent level of energy and power throughout an entire performance Jungwon -jungwon is a groovy dancer -he is overall well-rounded and can execute different textures and dynamics, though energetic choreos suit him the best -he is one of the 3 most active enhypen members during their freestyle dance jams -enhypen as a whole have the tendency to dance in a collected and precise way when marking (not dancing full out) and free styling, but when they dance choreo for the camera, they put in a lot of excess force. jungwon is the most prominent case of this. he doesn't look grounded and individual moves arent defined -jungwon cant control when he finishes a move -it looks like he is drifting off and loses control in some movements, tension in his neck and shoulders -as he has solid technique otherwise, this habit is the one thing holding him back from advancing Heeseung -heeseung is a type of dancer who focuses on control and power. he has both the pros and cons of this type of dancer -his foundation is popping -he has advanced isolations -he knows the fundamentals of several popping styles and can play around with them (waving, tutting, animation) -these kind of dancers often avoid groove. heeseung usually has minimal or no groove and it makes some movements look unfinished or disconnected -control and power sometimes replace the efficient ways of moving and form can suffer. he gets into uncomfortable positions that can easily be avoided -he doesnt relax his torso and it can make relatively easy and simple moves look unnatural -his technique is one-sides. very impressive in some aspects but lacking in some ways Jay -jay is the best hip hop dancer in enhypen. his relaxed and calm way of dancing combined with flow gives him more flavour than most choreo dancers have -his lines and shapes are often impressive from a hip hop perspective -because of his relaxed execution, he can engage his head and upper body while doing footwork -during freestyling, he is focused on the music rather than on showing impressive moves and combos -his musicality allows him to catch different aspects and changes of the music while staying in the flow and mood of the song -his repertoire is not very advanced yet, but its promising -he often shines in chill and groovy choreos, as well as in stronger hip hop choreos -however, enhypen’s tension and angle based style doesnt suit him. while he executes the steps correctly, he doesnt use enough energy and power and it can look weak Ni-ki -what makes ni-ki fun to watch is his fluidity combined with strong accents and consistent high energy -this fluidity comes from his stylistic choice of frequently adding body rolls and using his upper body mobility -this fluidity especially suits emotional RnB music -despite his usually energetic style, he can adjust to different kinds of music. this ability to versatile approaches despite his young age likely comes from his previous dance background -he can add strength to moves without making it look like its too much -when it doesnt fit the music, he doesnt add such strong accents -he can dance challenging choreos that combine different skills while staying in his own style - this is considered a desirable trait for studio dancers of recent years -his dancing always gives the impression that he does his own thing, as in: he dances in his own style rather than trying to fit a specific aesthetic or genre -this lack of genre can sometimes be visible when a choreo is in a specific style -his body often forms an S line while dancing hip hop choreo because he doesnt use his torso and legs the “proper” way in hip hop dancing -this core stability, instead of release, helps him when it comes to girl group dances -he is often responsible for stunts in enhypen, though they dont always look safely executed.

Because of Enhypen's most recent comeback (which I know wasn't out at the time of this being made), I would put Sunghoon more on par with Heesung (though for me, Sunghoon, Jay and Heesung have always been interchangeable depending on the song, but Sunghoon now has that extra oomph that makes him suit more concepts like Heesung whereas I would like to see Jay expand his skillset more). I think the thing I disagree with the most is actually the first point made in the video about Sunoo not suiting anything but more bubbly and bright concepts as I personally found him captivating in darker concepts as well (Given-Taken and Drunked-Dazed) but he did lack a bit in Tamed-Dashed and Blessed-Cursed because he defaulted to his darker concept expressions rather than taking on more hip-hop/swag (?) ones. However, I do agree that he lacks strength (something that I realized during this last comeback mostly because of Sunghoon). The other thing, not that I disagree but I somewhat understand, is Heesung fading a bit (and I say this even though he is one of my biases along with Sunoo). I find he does fade a bit in their title tracks (bar Drunked-Dazed, he's definitely the one that stuck out to me most in that era) but he absolutely kills their b-sides. Maybe because it fits his aura/suits his style more, who knows. Regardless of who's era it is, Heesung has always shined and captured my eye in the b-side performances. Overall I like the video, there are some points I disagree with and others I can't really comment on because I have no experience, but it definitely helped me with picking up on their styles and putting words to the thoughts I had for them in Pass the Mic era. (I've also binged a couple other of your videos and I like your talking style because it feels more like a conversation/debate rather than an outright judgment. Keep up the good work!)

I totally agree with the comparison between Niki and Jungwon...I know Niki is a professional dancer but as u said i sometimes feel like there are some moment Jungwon does better than him (and vice versa). Not gonna lie...when I first stan Enhypen, I'm more into Jungwon dance over Niki. I thought I am the only one who feel like that cuz most people praising niki and rarely talk about Jungwon with his dance. Even some (bias people i would say) put Jungwon under Heeseung and Sunghoon in dancing which make me more surprising. I rewatched countless time on every Jungwon fancams and never get bored that's how good he is. The way he put some of his style with suitable facial expression on the dance is eye catching. Thank u for detailed explanation i accept all ur facts between those two.

I would like to give a personal opinion, but without relying on technical things, only as a spectator *1) Sunghoon / Ni-Ki | Ni-Ki / Sunghoon* Sunghoon: the member I prefer to watch the most while they dance, i just love his movements so much and also his expressions Ni-Ki: you look at him and you immediately understand that he has been a lifelong dancer, only one thing is that he should improve his expressions *2) Jungwon* Jungwon: he is a good dancer, but I don't really like popping ...i mean, i just like it when it's in the choreography like that performance at i-land *3) Jay* Jay: i just sometimes don't like some movements, but overall it's okay *4) Heeseung* Heeseung: sometimes too much and/or too little, moves jerkily, but it looks like he's having fun dancing and is chill *5) Jake / Sunoo | Sunoo / Jake* Jake: you can see that is the member who started dancing later than the others, but he makes an effort Sunoo: ordinary simple dancing

In my opinion, when analyzing Jake and Sunoo's dancing, the debut dancing should not be included, because the way they danced before and now are different. (I noticed it way before, after watching Jake's given taken dance after their debut, and his given taken fancam during dilemma showcase, his dancing is kinda stiff before but his execution in the showcase is a lot better). but I appreciate the plus points

Sunghoon has improved (again), meaning I certainly have to re-analyse his whole techniqual aspect again. His isolations, locks, arm strength, and even footwork seem a lot more developed now. I will upload the Future-Perfect dance analysis+ ranking later today, but I'm just struggling finding out who got the perfect footwork as they all showed the lack of clarity at some point + the whole ranking changed several times, so I need to make a decision.

Quick question, why is Jungwon rated so closely to Niki? I love him and think he’s an amazing dancer but he lacks a lot of technical aspects that Niki has. He’s got better dynamics and energy than Niki, but I wouldn’t just put a dancer on the same level as a dancer like Niki just bc of their energy and power. Niki is pretty much a professional dancer who became an idol. Not saying Jungwon is just an idol dancer, but Niki is on another level that I cannot describe. My ranking system is not 100% about their technique. It is almost 50% technique and 50% performance. The maximum "points" in body control is 45 and Niki had a perfect score. In short: I don't look at body control itself, but include other aspects in dancing (like musicality, energy, power, agility, texture, dynamics. They're all included in part 3, called movement quality) It's not a normal "analysis"

it's okay. What people tend to forget about my ranking system is that, I don't only focus on their technique, but also their performance. That's probably why it looks a bit biased, as I'm myself a huge fan of the performance aspect. Me trying to "convince" is a part of my argumentative nature so it's understandable. I personally think it's better to give an explanation rather than "not explaining" and making other confused. One more thing, I don't see myself as a biased person as I pretty much disgard all type of favoritism, but I can see where you're coming from. I'll update the ranking if I think it needs some adjustment. One more thing. My ranking system doesn't include "versatility". I made a video explaining how I evaluate, so you can watch that one. Sunghoon has definetely improved even more, so I think I gotta change it more on time.
