I somehow agree with every point made. I'll add that doflomingo thought love was complete resignation. He received love in absolutes, and he gave it back by maintaining his "perfect" persona. It's ok to him if his family sacrifice themselves on his behalf because that's the best way for them to show him love. It was ok for him to sacrifice them and move on because it maintains his persona. He remains untouched and won't have to bend his knee. That's how he was taught to return the love. That's the version of love that didn't result in his family being back up on that tree. Both Doflamingo and Whitebeards versions of love got their families asses handed to them

Doflamingos entire character is about manipulation, not family, and every single person in his family is manipulated in some way or another.
