Who's the better Fossilizer? Spindle or Paleotrex?

Could you a combination of all the fossilizer with paleotrex,ractonite,wingfinger,transmutate,vertebreack, Dracodon,Tricranius, skellitor,the mammoth one, spindile. You don’t have to do vertebreack or dracodon but I just wanna se how it would look. Also keep up the good work

Yeah, when I got my Spindle last Tuesday (the 2nd of August), I noticed the same things, most notable the loose wrist/ankle mushroom peg.

Yeah.... they did a really poor job on the QC. I'm honestly surprised that it pass inspection. I'm gonna see if I can remove the claw, and then dip the connector part in hot water to see if I can squeeze it down to fit better. That or I'm gonna end up ruining my toy haha XD

Yeah, I sometimes use that, or this other thing called Kiki. But my fav is pieces of paper haha. I was able to fix the Spindle leg issue by unscrewing it and adding some paper in there for friction lol

If the naming convention behind paleotrex caught you by surprise, here's a bit of trivia: Pterodactyls had wings formed by a skin membrane attached to the body and the their longest "finger." Pterodactyl comes from the Latin words meaning: wing finger

When I was a kid, I was also into dinosaurs, had this weekly magazine subscription and learnt a bunch of random stuff! Had one for bugs too,they were kinda cool and came with these skeleton glow in the dark model kits, think it's where my collecting habits began

Yeah, he's good bot, but just had some bad parents that didn't properly QC him while he was growing up. He means well tho, and I figured out a way to tighten the leg joints with the paper. Had to unscrew the thigh, but it's super tight now.

So, Got Bot had a pro tip about those wrists on spindle. Put the outtermost mushroom, in the outtermost port. It does leave a little gap, but the hand hardly ever falls off now, no shit. Try it.

For the arm wrist I just switched them for their original one, and the left leg on my copy thing was so tight I had to disassemble the leg to loosen it

I don't mind the mold changes but the color scheme. He looks like that because they essentially used the same plastic for both Spindle and Impactor and I already have an Impactor, it's a great figure. I actually really like that mold and if you don't have one already then highly recommend it. But I would prefer Spindle in a different color scheme. I've said it before I actually like the more natural colors the original 3 Fossilizers and Vertebreak (who technically isn't a Fossilizer since he doesn't have the gimmick but still shares the visual style with) had. I think Masterdominus works a little bit better as a Fossilizer but the colors aren't consistent through out all the parts so it still looks a bit artificial compared to the originals. I really just wish they had more Earthy tones in their color schemes so they fit better with the original guys.

Wholeheartedly agree. He's super PB&J haha. I bet they'll do a recolor at some point. Hasbro luvvvvvs them repaints, and I'd DEFFFFFFinitely buy it hahha. I really hope they address the mold degradation and tolerance issues tho. Honestly, it's the worst QC'd Fossilizer that I own. Yeah, and MasterD isn't too bad. I kinda like the matte black that he's got going on. I can even live with the gold and silver accents. I wish they'd kept his head peg and also his head the same size; at least for the purposes of bot bending XD

I would've picked one up, despite the colour pallette, if only to airbrush and ink wash to fit in with the others. Then orinj drops the gummy plastic comment. Guess im waiting for someone to deconstruct, scan and upload a file for print 🙃

Skelivore is the Goat of the rex molds though. If it's between Ractonite and Mastodon, Mastodon regardless of his shortcomings. The black painting seals it for me.

Yeah, Ptrex hands down. I love me some Skeli, but mine is a bit loose. Not as bad as Spin, but def the loosest when compared to Ptrex and Mutate. I love the colors tho!

@@BotBenderOrinj just brainblasted a build for a cancelled resident evil monster using Skelivore. You can also make Cerebusmon (plutomon?) With him using Skelivore and Mastro in some quantity. Prob a 2/2 or 3/2 split. Mastro is being the 3 of if so.

Spindle is definitely worse as a fossilizer but I like it a bit more as its own thing/character. I guess I lucked out with mine because the only problem is the mushroom pegs on the forearms, the rest of it is toleranced pretty well. I also love spinosaurus, even if this mold isn't very accurate

I totally know what you mean. If mine wasn't racked with QC issues, it'd be a toss up. I love the fact that they chose a Spinosaurus! Glad to hear that yours is toleranced decently! At least some of us lucked out :) I found a way to fix mine tho. Gonna put up a "fix it" video in the near future.

Personally I think Spindle is better because we've never really see spinosaurus in Transformers and there are plenty other T rex transformers.

Yeah, Spindle is a wonderfully designed toy; his QC is horrible that's all. If it was on par with Ptrex, it'd be a tough call, but with all his issues, I couldn't vote for him 😄

Thanks very much! Still a great toy tho. I was able to fix some of the loose joints by taking apart the figure and using little pieces of paper to tighten the fits :)

Paliotrex is definetly better his axe blade looks better his head mace looks better and it doesnt have as many qc issues also the t rex head is better for combining as you can make many things that are not tied to the robot head
