But he isn't vulnerable to gunfire. I suppose you could argue that he's more vulnerable to projectiles since his powers don't allow him to shoot anything. But that's really not how that works. He's invulnerable to disease, but not vulnerable to gunfire. His actually weak to magnets because of his adamantium skeleton. He's vulnerable to electricity because all metals except vibraniam conduct electricity to my knowledge. Strengths and vulnerability is about contrast.

I think and many people I know believe and agrees that Wonder Woman should be second because she has the blood of the Greek Pantheon but is limited due to her bracelet of submission. Nope. Wonder Woman is second (and just barely second) only to Superman. The bigwigs at DC have stated that over the years, and even in the comics, there have been instances over the decades when Diana feared losing control and confided her fear to Superman, telling him that if she ever did lose control, he would be the only one who could stop her. (And I still say she could take him!)

Why can't people give Superman his props. Yes Clark has done some crazy things, but not only does Supes have incredible powers, he also has far more experience then any other Hero in all of DC, and even in Comics for that matter. Superman has had to fight everything you could possibly imagine. From Gods to monsters, to evil version of himself and his friends, and still was able to come out on top with skill, sheer will and determination alone. Although he's kind of obscure, I definitely think Wally West's son Jai West/Surge should at least get an honorable mention. His unique a connection to the Speed Force enables him to accelerate his muscle growth, giving him superhuman strength almost comparable to Superboy or Wonder Girl. While he may be the slowest member of the Flash clan, he's also the strongest and toughest.

Sorry that’s an Eoic Fail Captain Marcel is the only one that can match Superman. The New garbage writers try to creat Woke Scenarios. In the original format for Dc comics the stories are very different. That’s not because of the Evolution of writers it is because of the poor generation of new writers that we have. The stories have less value and are more drama based than quality of story based. For Propf about Shazam look no Further than Superman and Batman Public Enemies and Kingdom Come.

If I'm not mistaken, doesn't DC now own the rights to the Wildstorm characters? That would mean that Mr. Majestic is officially a DC character. If so, then why isn't he on this list? I mean you even mentioned him when talking about Captain Atom. Ok. So, here's my issue. Majestic, like Shazam belonged to another company that DC ended up getting the rights to. And DC likes to power down the competition once they get them! That's what I don't like about DC. Majestic was created to be more powerful than Superman in every way. He was written and created to be that way, with feats to prove it. But as soon as DC got him, just like with Shazam, they de-powered him to protect their golden boy. I mean God forbid, you can't have a character more powerful than Superman! He was the first and so he always has to be number one. If someone challenges that, they just de-power that character while increasing Superman's feats. Which again is why I have an issue with DC. But even when powered down, Majestic should easily be top 3 on this list. In one story, Captain Atom said he was not as strong as Superman but close enough. In another story, Superman himself said he was stronger. So, which one is it? If you take Majestic when he was first created for Wildstorm Comics, then he's number 1. But the DC version is not as powerful. But he still is more powerful than almost everyone else on this list. So, why isn't he on here?

This is not a list about total power of superheros, this list is simply about physical strength. Firestorm, Captain Atom, Dr. Manhattan, Dr Fate, and Plastic Man would all be in the top 10 if it was about most effective heroes. You can't really do much to the first three on the list no matter how you try, they could just turn superman into liquid water, or gaseous nitrogen and call it a day. Plastic man is not limited in any way besides his imagination, and technically does not have a mind to be contacted or controlled telepathically, at one point Eel was blown into particulate matter and the ashes went into the ocean 2500 years in the past. When the rest of the Justice League made it back to the correct point on the time line Wayne enterprises set up ocean wave operated generators to filter the oceans and seas of the planet to get the pieces of plastic man back. Once they had about half of him he reformed and went for a long swim to get the rest of his body back.

Dr. Fate also has a "minimal interference" policy when it comes to reality and the time line, but if he was ever to go on the offensive without regard for consequences Supes becomes the worlds strongest Locanthlyth who has the memories of a deep ocean fish who lives below the depth sunlight can penetrate to. All he will know is he likes the less rotted carrion more then the very rotted carrion. All but one of the heroes I listed own superman in a fight because superman is just fast physical violence, he can not literally alter reality on a base level with his mind like my listers can. Plastic man is unkillable. His powers are basically magic. He does not have a mind to be contacted or controlled telepathically and he can alter his body into anything he can imagine. He has literally turned into Godzilla to fight giant alien invading mechs. What he can turn into is not limited by his size or mass in any way only his imagination. He was kept crushed into a ball for 25 years by 6 hydraulic pistons set to 100 tons of force each without food or water and all that changed was his hair color. If he didn't have loved ones brainiac and luthor never would have managed to capture him, he surrendered to save his friends and family. Superman fanbois are the most unrealistic comic fans out there.

Superman is directly shown to tank magical energy from Xanadoth who Nabu wants absolutely no type of smoke with and also able to resist spells that can over power Dr fate. So superman can tank and resist all of Dr fates attacks and spells and can dish out strength enough to crack his skull. So no Dr fate doesn’t stand a chance. Atp you’re just listing cool abilities instead of these characters actual power showings in combat. Superman disingrates plastic man with his heat vision or freezes him in place. You state Dr Manhattan could take superman and on that we are both on the same page, I used homily to explain that Captain Atom in Charlton was more powerful than Dr Manhattan or he was at least the same power level. You are most likely using the most powerful incarnation of superman in these mental exercises, so the most powerful version of Captain Atom should be used as well. By that logic Manhattan, Atom, Firestorm, and Fate all walk away victorious before breaking a sweat. Plastic Man will have to work for it. but once he gets inside Clark's lungs and expands to the size of a mountain made of diamond, or a 1/64th scale model of planet earth it will end in a knock out. I also left Martain Manhunter off my list mistakenly. He could take superman out as well. He could just implant into Clark's mind a vision where Brainiac has Lois, ma and pa kent and is trying to escape the galaxy with them so he can torture them forever without any chance of superman interrupting. Causing superman to fly in one direction away from earth until time ends. I realize this Brainiac scenario is a stretch, but it is early and I didn't want to reuse the oceans and how sunlight can only penetrate so deep. By going intangible and phasing thru the water MM could survive the dive and force superman telepathically to accompany him to the ocean floor where they would remain in absolute darkness until Mr. Kent's solar charge ran out and the weight of the ocean crushed him to crab food.
