Who's truth is it?

People say, I know my truth, or, that's my truth. My question, where do you get your truth from? And how do you know that your opinion is the truth? It could well be someone else's truth, and you have adopted it to be your truth. To say to someone that it is my truth, is a declaration designed to shut someone down. They don't want to believe that your truth might just be the real truth, so they have to hang onto their own beliefs, even though they may be wrong. We have to accept that people are not going to agree on everything. You don't have to agree with me, and I don't have to agree with you.

Hi iLona🙋,love the yellow colors ☺I have a friend of mine that I've been friends with for years she even went in the birthing room with me when my daughter was born., and she's terminally ill dying of cancer and on oxygen for her lungs where she can hardly breathe, and I sent her and her husband chocolates and her flowers and I wrote on the card I love you friend, I've been there for her mornings to night's, she started saying then I wanted to be her partner so I guess the cancer was getting to her mind and she stopped talking to me 😟 so like you said because somebody thinks something up in their mind doesn't make it true.

I completely agree. I've never understood that saying and I put it down to one of the many in-things to say without actually making sense. Another one is "it is what it is.". I respond with "and what is that?". I never get a decent response but usually get a "well, it is what it is". 😮

I have always perceived 'my truth' as being something that i recall has happened personally or experienced by me and the way i saw it, felt it, perceived it etc.. abit like two siblings who grow up experiencing the same big events then each having their own truth or version of describing the said events many years later. Truth being how I experienced something so therefore it being my truth and no one else's version of it. THE TRUTH as in right or wrong facts are totally different to something that is my truth. in my opinion of course. love your videos and thanks for sharing ☺

Okay, but the word "truth" is still redundant. It is enough to say "this is what I experienced and this is how I felt" etc, without the ridiculous "please believe me, it's my truth, so there!" nonsense. 😂

Arnt lies called misinformation nowadays🙄🤦‍♀️. Me n hubby went out on bikes today, young girl with ear buds in, no awareness what so ever. Hubby passed/overtook, and I thought oh good she'll turn round and see me coming...... Nope totally not in this world🤦‍♀️ I so wanted to stop n say something, but hubby tells me to behave when we go out😂. I just looked up the definition because I was confused. It means a “non negotiable personal opinion” it’s a convenient phrase for avoiding arguments because people can contradict your opinion, but not your truth. Just a way to end a conversation I guess. I’ve noticed lately many people do not listen to other opinions or actual facts. I’m not talking about me because I just watch in amazement as families and friends walk away from each other. Makes me sad. It seems that the people who get angry are the ones who aren’t really hearing what the others have to say. That’s my opinion not my truth….and no I don’t want to argue. 🙂

We used to be able to LISTEN to another view, try and understand another view point from open discussion of ideas with critical thinking, usually you could understand why a person thinks a way and you may change your opinion or not, id the later we would agree to disagree and respect the others opinion. In our family , we are the only ones that didnt do what they all did (veed) but no one wanted to talk about it, they all just do what they are told simply because they are told that is the right thing to do.

I hope people who believe in "that lie" told to us eventually come to see the truth about that lie. Because, this situation is ongoing. As another here who watches updated information about "that lie" told to us have come to admit in government that they got it wrong. And we as a collective have had our lives turned upside down. But if it ever happens again, we all just need to remember what horrendous experience's the world had to endure over that period. And not allow ourselves to be duped again in future by the so called professional's. Like you say, do our own research, and think for ourselves.
