A shift in mindset has occurred, where people have begun to differentiate between right and wrong and realize that political participation is vital to ensuring their rights are protected and resources are not misused. In this new era, there is a stronger understanding that staying passive is no longer an option. Political participation is essential for securing one's rightful share and safeguarding interests in a rapidly changing political landscape. I had priviledge to visit Kashmir Srinagar district this April. I did see that too much electricity issues there especially for localites. Got full picture from our driver for that trip. From Kashmir. The thing is we fought for freedom for years, and we almost got it in 2016, almost. I have been monitoring the situations around me from the beginning to this date. People who pelleted stones are now voters, and those who encouraged them to throw stones are now campaigning for their seat in the assembly. Those who were bluffing that casting a vote under Indian democracy is an act that takes you away from Islam, they used to say "Shadat Ki Ungli Pe Tagoot ka Nishan.... Nadaam Samajhta Hai Mein Abhi Hoon Muslman", Tagoot ka Nisham means the ink mark after the vote on one's finger. I have seen many die in front of my own eyes, I have prayed countless Janazas (Attended funerals) of those who were killed because they acted on what the above-mentioned people used to say. I can't go any deeper on what India did in Kashmir or is doing more specifically the so-called Brave Indian Army which was supposedly here to protect us from terrorists. But what I really want to say is that we have lost at the hands of the BJP. In Kashmir, they have played an old well-known tactic called "Divide And Rule". There will be no majority anymore to form a government in Kashmir. P.S. For all the Indians who hate us for no reason, who call us terrorists, who call us Pakistanis, these labels hurt mostly the last one. We may not look like you or speak the language you speak or even practice a religion of your choice but we are part of the same diverse India as are you.
