Have you ever even heard an actually song in Old Norse?… Þat Mælti Mín Móðir, (which is what this awful translation is based off of) is incredibly melodic and sad, very high notes majority of the time.

@@swoops7687 yes but that song has been wrote by Egil Skallagrímsson, who was born in c.910, in Borg, Iceland. And then Snorri Sturluson translated it in: "The Sagas of Icelanders" in c.1220. So, i think we can imagine it being sang with rough vikings men voices, maybe while sailing. And not chorus-like. Then, we can't know exactly how the things were back in there.
