Susan Rigvava-Dumas, the original Mrs Danvers, is just incomparable regarding the power of her voice and her presence! I saw her on stage in Vienna in the late oughties and she was the best about the musical.

저도 님 댓글 보고 열심히 봤는데요..배우들 중 제일 안정적인 느낌이예요. 대부분 반음 정도 찍고 올리는데 이 배우는 바로 정확하게 음을 내네요. 연기도 뭔가 좀 다르게 보이는게 움직임도 적고..저도 마지막이라 그런건진 모르겠지만 제일 인상에 남네요. 물론 이걸 연기 하며 노래 한 배우들 모두 대단함엔 틀림 없지만요😊

The German-language musical scene has been dominated by Dutch singers for many decades now, especially among the women. Pia Douwes, Maya Hakvoort, Susan Rigvava-Dumas, Wiebke Van Tongeren, Willeimijn Verkaik (fun fact: she was Elsa's German voice in Frozen) are alle Dutch who (also) sing in German.

Maya Hakvoort is Dutch, but she's singing in German. There's no Dutch translation of Rebecca. Another way you can guess this is that as she sings you can see a label in the top right corner of the screen: 'Wir spielen für Österreich", German for 'We act for Austria'. This is also true of Susan Rigvava-Dumas. Also, the original production was in German

I watched Mrs.Denvers who played Jang eun-Ah and Shin youngsook at the theater. They have unique voices and plentiful expressiveness both. Other Mrs.Denvers are the best,too👍They have several colors so If I have any chances to see them,I'll go to meet those Mrs.Denvers willingly❤

They really need to give this musical one more chance on Broadway using the International staging of the musical. Can you just imagine if they cast star power like Idina Menzel as Mrs. Danvers? The Hungarian version. THe music is Hungarian_Austrian, so the best emotional fill is by the Hungarian. THe Romanian sang very well as well. All the rest could not translate the emotion

Head Voice like Maya Hakvoort or the lady in the hungary version is very boring and nothing special in this sequence. It destroys the whole magic moment within the scene.👎🏼 In this part you have to sing it with the powerful belting voice like Pia Douwes or the Corean Version.👍🏼
