Stow it, Wheels. They actually scored goals in every group game. They just didn’t finish in the QF. This tournament they actually moved the ball forward, unlike playing back and around when Bev was on the touch line. It was more refreshing to watch this style of play. I get it: you have to be the critic, to play down the quality of the national teams. It’s good to want more but you have been asking for champagne on a beer budget.

Why not keep Spence? According to the players themselves, he did a very good job. He was only hired in 2022. I think he brought the best out of the team under very difficult circumstances.

I am hoping otherwise, but my fear is that he is too deeply entrenched in the scandal. He was here because of Bev. I'm glad to hear the team was comfortable with him. We all know these incredible players deserved much better.

Canada is the world's most multicultural country, yet when it comes to football (oops, soccer) the mentality is back to the days when anyone who wasn't from the UK was basically treated like crap (a part of Canadian history that isn't taught to kids in schools). Personally I'm sick and tired of English coaches and would like to see COMPETENT coaches from any other country that doesn't belong to the UK. If the coach doesn't speak English and a translator is needed? So be it, as long as he/she is capable of bringing tactical and technical expertise which translates onto the pitch and brings victories. Plus, the coaches should be given time as often changes don't happen overnight. *PS: There also needs to be major changes in Canadian Soccer at the top levels. The CSA is a joke.
